Tell me about Luxembourg
What are some fun things to do there?
What is good Luxembourgish food? What's the best beer from there?
Do people actually speak Luxembourgish there? Or is it more just French, Dutch, and German?
Are you rich as fuck? Did you go to one of those elite boarding schools for international kids and children of diplomats?
There's a lot to visit and see here, we have plenty of excellent restaurants and sights! We have the Schueberfeuer soon, the Nossfest and so on, maybe the Picadilly if you fancy getting drunk on mediocre wine!
I really like Kniddelen, flour dumplings, and Gromperekichelcher which are potato cookies kind of. There's a lot though. Like Kachkeis, which is melty cheese, or Bouneschlupp..
They do, mostly Luxembourgish. Only the border workers really don't speak Luxembourgish. It's a pride thing, if you talk in our language you're one of us.
I'm not rich as fuck, but I don't have to worry about money. I went to a regular public school.
Tax haven shouldn't exist. 100k$ GDP per capita? Go fuck yourselves
Rightful Spanish land
It's just the lack of senseless regulation. We don't have the capacity to over-regulate every aspect of business until it slows to a crawl.

>if you talk in our language you're one of us.
Even if I'm a foreigner?
no it belongs rightfully to the REICH!
There's some limits to integration, but generally yes.
Hi neighbor
I used to when I was working there
There's a couple
Based. Luxembourgish seems like a very interesting language, I'm honestly considering picking it up just in case I ever visit your country.
Bonjour!
How did you like it here?
Moien! Bass du deen aus den /deutsch/ threads?
is there a local french dialect?
It's not the most useful language considering how few people speak it globally, but I bet it'll be a neat party trick.
a local french dialect? I don't think so..
not even some kind of walloon?
Neen ech faerten dassde mech do verwiessels, henks du an generals?
Definitely not in Luxembourg itself, but across the border you have the Belgians and their walloon, and the French and their lorrain "accent".
Ech wees dass et een am general do gett, deen ass awer nawell komesch. Ech posten heiansdo am /fr/, mee awer soss net wierklech vill op Jow Forums. Wat mess du dann hei?
>It's not the most useful language
Like I care about that. I used to study Dutch and Catalan. If learning Luxembourgish opened up long-term opportunities over there I'd be down to learn it.
It probably would! I'm sure it'll be a fun language to learn. I wish you luck.
It's a bit more German-like (i.e complex) in terms of grammar, isn't it? At a glance, Dutch grammar seems like a total meme by comparison.
>deen ass awer nawell komesch
Hat gemengt dass et méi wéi een wier deen do posten géing.
>/fr/
Hun heieren dass deen nawell ok sinn soll?
>Wat mess du dann hei?
Lurken, daat nemlecht wéi dei Meecht.
It's easier than all the surrounding languages IMO, you just pick out the easiest parts of German, French and Dutch and slap them into a sentence to get Luxembourgish.
Ech mengen et ass nemmen een.. An jo, dei vum franseichen thread sinn ganz OK, emmer léif mat mier och.
Dei Deitsch net seu..
Ech wollt amfong mei Leit vun hei fannen vier se fleit ze befrennen.
I don't hope so. The time of confusion should end.
>Ech wollt amfong mei Leit vun hei fannen vier se fleit ze befrennen.
Ech wënschen der natierleg vill Erfoleg, mais ech wees net genau opsde domadder elo vill Succès hunn wearts.
Vläit mecht et bessi mei Sënn eng mei kleng Communautéit opzesichen?
Oder op Brieder ze goen wou Léit mat denen nämlechten Intereten circuléieren, amplaz juste no geografescher Proximitéit ze kucken?
>It's a pride thing, if you talk in our language you're one of us.
What if I learn the language and travel there, will you accept me as one of your own?
Eng richteg Communautéit kritt een menger Meenung no net opgeriicht, dovier ginn et der ze weineg vun eis an dei, dei ech bis elo fonnt hunn sinn ze verschidden.
Et ass mei einfach no Proximitéit ze kucken wei no Interessien, et ginn der vill dei vielleicht dat nemlecht gären hunn, awer weineg dei och vun hei sinn.
Depends! Like I said, I was just talking in general terms.
How is life there? i'd imagine boring enough, there's probably no crime or scandals right?
It's definitely uneventful, but nice enough with enough to do that you don't get bored. Summer is awful though, the country is empty and a lot of shops close.
do immigrants bother to learn Luxembourgish?
Some do, some don't. I don't like the ones that don't bother. I always start speaking in Luxembourgish just to annoy people that can't. I mean, even if you just work here I'd expect some rudimentary grasp of the language..
Very based, thanks for answering
No problem!
