I've never understood why Dubs had rural Ireland so much. There are plenty of legitimate, quantifiable reasons to dislike Dublin. But Dubs seem to be unable to criticise rural Ireland without resorting to "muh entertainment" or the fact that the views of rural Ireland don't align exactly with those of West Brits.

Have to agree with this. Some people in these threads have a massive chip on their shoulder about Dublin that borders on unhinged. Whereas in real life my experience has always been Dubs are usually just taking the piss and having the craic and it doesn't go beyond that for them.
