I didn't expect much from this Eid but it turned out to be awesome. You'd think once you grow up Eid doesn't become as exciting. But today was actually pretty fucking great. My and my cousins singing with Grandpa and going to the beach and having a good time. Nothing crazy or special but it was a really good time.

Tbh the last few eids have been dissappointing, everyone we know has left for Turkey because its also the summer holiday now. When I was a kid it used to be during winter and it was super comfy.

yeah since I've grown up Eid became less exciting. And right now it is the summer vacation so half of my extended family is outside on vacation. And many were on duty for their jobs so they didn't have a day off on Eid. But to my surprise both Eids this year were awesome and memorable. It helps that on grandpa had 2 wives and 11 kids while the other grandpa had 4 wives 28 kids. I have a huge family. Each generation of cousins that grew up together tend to have close bonds. And I have a childhood friend that still hangs out with me even though I am not social. So those things made my Eids different every time and this year, pretty great.
