There is phenotypic overlap, my guess would be if you put someone from the Middle East in India, they would be seen on the lighter end of spectrum but wouldn't be hard to pass as local.
Think of it like Americans and Nordics. If you put a Nordic man in America, most Americans wouldn't think of him as a foreigner unless he specifies, but at the same time America has a much longer range of phenotypes that could be considered "local" than Sweden (not considering recent migrations).
