Okay guys this is getting ridiculous, the dotcom bubble crash isn't even more than some random fluctuation on this chart anymore, it just hit $1trillion marketcap, if you had invested your money in this back in January you would have made 60% by now, this is just crazy for stocks.
How long is this bubble going to continue? What would be a reliable signal for shorting this?
Heh, never heard that before on biz. Ripple in peace.
Elijah Brown
can't go vertical forever
Xavier Torres
Bezos is a machine. What a powerhouse.
William Nguyen
>overbougt
moron, price is based on business fundamentals
Liam Gutierrez
>What would be a reliable signal for shorting this? when it goes down you fucking retard but it would be smarter to not short amazon. you're better off shorting tech companies like apple, netflix and tesla
Colton Richardson
fundamentals of the entire crypto market are exactly the same as in december :^) I wouldn't short tesla, Musk is a sneaky Jew, he alternates between public meltdowns and hype news to get people to short and then he squeezes them
Elijah Morales
The only thing that would justify continued exponential growth is that they developed super-AI that will take over everything. Amazon is one of the legit candidates to achieve it first.
Chase Nelson
I wouldn't short apple. They are cashed up and using it to buyback shares (keeping the price high).
Jace Morris
I bought in 2014 for 230usd/share AND IM NOT FUCKING SELLING
i love jeff, he made me rich
Jaxon Parker
fundamentals for btc/eth and maybe a few others, sure
but fundamentals for all of the random shitcoins people created trying to cash in on the hype? no. the hype for 99% of those alts was part of the fundamentals, and now that hype is gone and will not be returning to those alts, but newer ones that launch during the next bull run.
Brody Kelly
It's called a blow-off top.
Wait for it to crash 20%, then short the dead-cat bounce.
Do not attempt to short before that. The reason for the blow off is the price has lost touch with the reality, which means the upside is INFINITE until the hysteria finally breaks.
Joseph Martin
btw i think amazon will be 2 trillion eoy 2019
Aiden Johnson
this and only this. Don't try to outsmart people by shorting such a rally, you'll get rekt
Landon Clark
dear dumbfuck,
Amazon is not a bubble. it is the best shopping experience in existence and it will take over music distribution and video distribution aw well. you have to be a mongloid not to see where this is headed. amazon is poised to become the largest most successful corporation in the history of the planet. they will have there own equivlaent of UPS in time, and they are metastasizing across europe which is fucking fantastic because competition in europe is pathetic as fuck which is why most things cost 2-3x in european countries as they do in the US. you are too fucking stupid to be on this board, and that is saying something.
what goes up must come down. Time will tell and you will see.
Still, I wouldn't short right now for sure.
Adam Miller
Amazon does not make their money from retail.
Thomas Adams
>Rising price >Decreasing volume I know it's all memes but when any kind of volume returns to AMZN isn't it an assured dump?
Leo Davis
What are your profits if you were to sell now?
Josiah Parker
There are actually people who believe this??
Christopher Reed
the amount of money my stupid fucking company pay for 'AWS' when they could just use their own servers ... multiply that by the amount of tech-retarded companies and you have pic related
Christian Bell
It will keep rising exponentially until the Singularity there's no crashes anymore in the future AI will create a permanent market bull until AGI
Charles Long
they sure as fuck do make a shit ton milking fees out of amazon sellers, and there is a reason they cut out sellers on successful products and import and sell those products themselves. they have more retail analytics than the entire collection of other online retailera combined and they use it to make a killing. are other areas of the business even more profitable? AWS?
Gabriel Ramirez
I'm much more annoyed with (((Google))) than Amazon as big corps go.
Chase Nelson
amazon is the top holding in my portfolio. With a performance of +660% bougth it at 226$ 05.06.2014
The only thing stopping Amazon is govt intervention with an anti-trust case.
Juan Smith
holy fuckin shit, how long did you plan to ride the wave?
Isaac Gonzalez
>The trillion-dollar "mostly empty box" >Earlier in the week, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) grabbed headlines again. That's as it temporarily passed the magic market capitalisation figure of US$1 trillion - the second company to do so.
>It has since dropped back a little, to "just" US$979 billion. But I have no doubt that the stock is trading at a bubble valuation. What other word adequately describes a stock with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 156, and a ratio of price to free cash flow (P/FCF) that's well above 200 (properly calculated)?
>Investors will need some seriously heroic growth, over multiple decades, for that to make sense. Since overpaying for such ebullient growth prospects is a classic way to lose money, disappointment is highly likely… eventually.
>Just like much of the cardboard packaging used by the companies when it makes deliveries, investors will eventually realise that Amazon stock is a mostly empty box. Buyer beware.
This is happening as we speak. Bernie sanders literally just proposed something called the "STOP BEZOS act". Google it
Leo Reed
Around 200k usd profit before taxes
Jeremiah Clark
I do. Think about in 20 years how many people will be using Amazon. The entire world for literally every purchase. Do you seriously think there will be brick and mortar stores?
Alexander Jones
>The entire world for literally every purchase. If you actually believe this, you're insane. Based on what? your hunch?
Charles Lewis
looks exactly like the bitcoin bubble chart in december. this will be bloody and it will be soon. nice.
amazon crashing will be the leading indicator for the recession
Connor Moore
Buying AMZN now is like buying BTC at 19k, it's going to drop so hard
Juan Lopez
>t. boomer Blockbuster investor
Evan Gutierrez
thats just so dumb, i dont know how to respond. where are the fundamentals? show me a fundamental analysis that says 'literally every purchase' for the entire world will be through amazon in 20 years.
Michael Watson
Amazon UK Amazon DE Amazon FR Amazon CN Amazon JP Amazon shithole (mexico) Amazon Swedenistan coming ASAP there's more
Carter Brown
Because it is 100% scaleable, cheaper than B&M stores, and shipping is getting faster and cheaper. Once they perfect drone delivery it will be so cheap and fast to order to your door that it will literally not be worth it to go to the store. If you can't see drones delivering packages in the near future you are a total brainlet. They even will replace grocery stores just wait. So excited to get rich when the brainlets lose money.
Luis Brown
Why didn't I buy this instead of meme coins. Now it's too late like everything I try.
Benjamin Mitchell
AMZN made about $7 in earnings per share in 2017
since then its share price has grown by 800 dollars per share
THIS SHIT IS RETARDEDLY OVERVALUED
its time to short amazon
John Reyes
I honestly don’t feel like Amazon is oversold. I’m sure they are well on track to decimate what remains of brick and mortar retail and will basically have monopoly power before long.
Isaac Miller
their earnings are low cause they reinvest so much. Learn to read a financial statement, they generate 20 billion in free cash flow from working capital every year.
Stockfags remind me about Jow Forums in December. "BTC is not overbought, its not a bubble, its a new paradigm." "Price is based on fundamentals, 20k for 1 BTC is still undervalued" Nothing goes up forever. And stockfags will soon be JUSTed too.
>a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 156 wow, if that isn't a bubble i don't know shit
Eli Walker
>shorting amazon
some dude on SMG did that before earnings and got BTFO. Amazon will continue to grow, it will not go down. its growth will level off but you're a moron for thinking its going to drop. its the second most well run company in the world after Apple
Austin Barnes
Looks like crypto.
Will end like crypto.
Brody Richardson
you don't know shit. look at its revenue compared to its profits. its putting all its money into synergy and efficiency and new markets. it will continue to expand but it will also become more efficient and bring the actual profits closer to revenue and the P/E will drop significantly.
Easton Taylor
yeah it fucking BETTER do that
its all been priced in already
Juan Collins
this is a good summary. You'd have to be nuts to buy now based on overvaluation.
As for Sanders his bills usually never make it out of committee, but it'd be funny if this one got the floor for a vote; see who Bezos owns in the Congress.
Jaxon Baker
remember that Trump also has a bone to pick with Bezos
Buy high sell low Jow Forums Why do you faggots always fixate on the most overhyped and overpriced piece of shit that is almost guaranteed to melt down spectacularly?
fucking retard. "market can remain irrational much longer than you can remain solvent". look at bitcoin. it was obviously a bubble at $2k but then it still went another 10x from there and is still 3x up now. trying to guess the top is near impossible
Jose Hall
yeah, normally I'd factor that in, but "FUCK DRUMPHF" is the guiding ethos in D.C. right now so I left it out of the equation.
Even though I loathe Bezos I support the bill on it's own general merit. I don't want to subsidize the gibs of employees of Amazon, walmart, etc. because the fuckers are too cheap to pay them enough so they go on food stamps and such
I tried to find out which committee this is going to but it looks like its too early. Once we know which committee we will know who is on the committee we can gauge it's odds better.
>helps the working class by taxing the rich, commie D's on board
Dylan Evans
you're assuming R or D actually give a shit about what they say they give a shit about. Like I said, IF it makes it for a floor vote we're going to find out who Jeffy owns. I suspect he owns quite a few Rs and Ds.
Is it going parabolic? Does this mean the bubble is about to pop hard on stocks?
Isaiah Long
I'd love to see my delivery of brick delivered by drones. And sure, they will grow, but literally every purchase for literally the entire planet? The only reason amazon has not met good enough competition is because they have a good ability to renew themselves faster than the competition. When Apple launched the iPod and the Iphone, they dominated. they were renewing themselves faster than anyone and no one were close. but now the innovations in the smartphoone market have stagnated. Same thing will happen with amazon, they are kicking ass now, but you can only innovate e-commerce so much. I mean, e-trading for groceries is a thing in Europe, and has been for a while.
Being at the forefront of innovating a market is good and beneficial, but as soon as the innovations stop, competitors will copy it.
yeah get rich idc, but trying to pin down the market share for e commerce for the entire globe is so hard that not the most quantitative analyst would even dream of it.
going to the extremes because you cant see why they cant dominate 100%, isnt exactly a 'fundamental'.
stay in school kiddo
Charles Hill
>trying to pin down the market share for e commerce for the entire globe *in the unforeseable future
Nathaniel Martinez
It's clear he's hoping on buying ex-military guys so he can get military contracts and connections for amazon and his space company and build the Amazon-military-industrial complex. He needs that military tech to stay ahead of the tech-pack for the future efficiency gains he'll need to keep amazon above $1trill.
Carter James
literally anywhere
Luke Harris
P/E can be distorted by a number of factors, sometimes for tax puposes. Compute FCFE or EBITDA snd value it that way.
Aiden Bell
Robinhood. Use options. Idk how yet though
Jordan Bailey
>crypto tards trying to bottom fish in the stock market
Gavin Reyes
You just know the media would be looking for anything they can find in order to damage amazon and cause a massive red candle for a day
Josiah Perry
You mean the same media corps that are heavily invested in it. lol
Charles Scott
Euphoria
Jaxson King
Kek haven't brought from Amazon in over 3 months that's saying something
Alexander James
that is a good smin.jpg have another smin.jpg as payment
