Would you guys be interested in a site that only lets people who have 21 bitcoin visit and read it?

to access the site you have to sign a bitcoin address that has 21 btc in it. then your address is put onto a whitelist. after your address is on the whitelist, you use your private key as a password to unlock it. private key is used so that people dont leak a way to get in. every time you want to access the site you enter your private key and the private key makes a signature client side and then sends it to the backend. if the signature matches up with an address that is in the whitelist, they can access the site.

only thinking of this, because this board has become pretty shitty after a bunch of pajeets and normies infested it in 2017. also, its annoying to see all of the brainlets shilling vechain, tron, nano and ripple.

i can write the site in about a week but idk if any anons would actually join it.

sorry not site. i mean imageboard like Jow Forums but only for people that have 21 btc

I would be interested if you'd make this with Eth instead of Bitcoin

Buy holochain pajeet, not shitty maker

This sounds like a giant scam to steal private keys.

It also doesn't stop people from taking pictures of the site.

Cant stop the pajeets from collecyively racking up 1 pool for 21btc or 21eth and then reusing the account with their pajeet army.

You see you cant block the internet from pajeets. Only when you create a whitelist account of people you know...

If y ban the pajeets they will just make a new account with their pool army.

>This sounds like a giant scam to steal private keys.
was thinking it sounds a bit sketch as well. but idk how to mitigate people leaking a password to the site otherwise.

hmm. just had a thought. instead of entering a bitcoin private key, if the signing is done with metamask or ledger nano then it should be fine. that way you never expose your key directly into the browser.

>It also doesn't stop people from taking pictures of the site.
thats fine. the main point is to act as a brainlet filter.

>client side
Like we are going to check the "client sided" script every time we want to log in.
If you are serious about this make it so people have to sign their address once to get an access key which is revoked every once in a while.
Anyway, you would control a platform for wealthy people and that would give you too much power.

see . what is the signing is done with metamask or ledger so that there is a guarantee that your key isnt sent to the backend.

Regarding the private key stealing thing: As a login, you will be presented with a word that you have to encrypt with your private key. Shows that you are in posession of one of the whitelisted wallets.

Anyway, too poor for this. Have fun guys.

don't have 21 btc but this is a pretty good idea (with signed messages obviously, no private key exposure)
the idea of tying community website access to crypto addresses in general is one i hope take off. it'd kill shill alts and bots if you need to have, say, 10 eth on your address to be allowed in

Sounds like a great way to collect encrypted private keys for cracking later.

Buy holochain

this

this is a fud!!!!! no need to share Private key at all

do not fall for this nonsense

Why not require a signed message every time somebody logs in?

yes thats what im saying. you sign the message and then have access to login

absolute fucking brainlet. if its client side your key isnt shared with anyone. its even more secure if its done with metamask or ledger. i dont think you understand what "fud" actually means either.

>you use your private key as a password to unlock it.
I mean, no entering of private key. User manually signs a message and pastes that to log in.

ah yes. still the same idea desu just seems a bit inconvenient for those that dont know how to sign a message.
so options to login are;
- metamask or ledger
- enter private key into site which generates tx
- enter presigned, signed message
to prevent reuse of presigned messages, we can have it so the site only allows one session on the site per bitcoin/eth address. instead of an image board, im thinking something like an IRC chat actually. but idk. an image board is hard to maintain because someone has to be online 24/7 to make sure no cp or illegal material is posted.

probably going to start creating the site tomorrow. just need to finish up writing some stuff for this exchange.

How about just doing that? A kind of invite only social network - and if someone is kicked they AND the person that invited them gets kicked. Kicking requires a solid majority. So decent poorfags could potentially join, just as pajeets with 21 Btc couldn't.

no. because this means that everyone knows everyone which ruins the anonymity aspect and its also kind of limiting to people who dont network.
im sure there are lots of smart anons with 21btc who wouldnt know anyone to be able to get an invite. in which case, its no different than private telegram or discord groups.

the pajeets can be stopped by this >to prevent reuse of presigned messages, we can have it so the site only allows one session on the site per bitcoin/eth address

plenty of solutions to that
you could check if the balance has been at over 21 BTC for at least 3 months before allowing access, for example
the problem isn't a bunch of retards pooling to have one account either, but retards making thousands of accounts

>retards making thousands of accounts
can be prevented as well;
login process is as follows;
>enter address
>enter signed message
>check signed message matches is valid for public key for address
>check address has >21 btc
>check session for address doesnt already exist
>start session for address
>user is now logged in and can send messages
>user logs out/disconnects from site
>end session for address

hmm i just had a better idea. what if the site lets you access different rooms dependent on how much btc/eth you have.

e.g.
room for 1 btc
room for 10 btc
room for 21 btc
room for 100 btc
etc.

if you have 21 btc you can access the 21, 10 and 1 btc rooms but not the others.

This project is worth. As not all people here shoutet at you, you know it will work, even on a small scale.

The hardest part is to get the trust this is no shitty scam site. The rest is easy.

Never ever give your private key to anyone
what a dumb idea

again, your another brainlet. you dont give your private key to anyone - aside from client side. you just sign a message to prove you have control over an address.
if you dont want to enter your key on the site because your worried it somehow secretly sends it to the backend you can use a presigned message or metamask as explained here;

Well, then just have to endure the pajeets. Can't have anonymous, free access without em.

>Oh noes sirs! Stay and buy, do the needful!

Fuck off Rajeesh.

Good idea. Go for it.
