Very interesting twist from the norm in the sector going on today. Aphria has decoupled from its recent roll as retarded younger brother of Canopy, following along but slower and more awkward. Today Aphria is well in the green while Canopy is dropping. Aphria has been the darling of value investors for some time now due their profitability from the medical side and very good financials relative to the red books of almost all other LPs.
I have no position in Aphria but i really like seeing this in the sector. It means, ideally, that Canopy is not the only outfit calling the market moves. Having a second LP moving on its own is extremely good for small specs. The small specs are sort of undecided where they wanna go today in terms of price; low volume, hovering flat (for most of them). Being a swing trader of small specs this is all very rosy looking to me.
Current dude weed swings in play are: >Harvest One Cannabis >Emblem >Radient Technologies
ah dude i was there i was a bit noobish and i had TQQQ which is like 10% or some shit of facebook, and before earnings i bought more shares of facebook individually think i lost only like 350$ though.

To user in last thread. Futures contracts are better than index funds as they have no intrinsic fees (but also no divs), the market is more liquid, better tax exposure and extremely low fees to trade. Not to mention near 24/7 trading, ever wonder why you missed the best dip buying or high selling opportunities? Its because of speculation in the futures.
You can easily burn through an account due to leverage but it is much more rewarding to daytrade (no daytrade limits fyi). There are also OPTIONS on futures if you really want a wet dick. Gold and Oil being the best. selling straddles or condors on oil is legit.
Do some research and trade on paper so you can feel the swings. With futures it is absolutely important to have clear entries , targets and stops.

Thanks a lot for the breakdown, user. I can't see myself risking option trading right now. I also don't like the sound of no dividend when I can just buy normal stocks. I can definitely see the benefits to that though, sounds interesting.

I had 2 puts and 3 calls that equaled eachother in cost
I don't think I have any screen cap from when HMNY entered the shadow realm but that was bretty gud considering a called the max r/s weeks before it happened.

Futures are essentially the "pure" form of an index. They are just another tool in your investment playbook. For example when bonds are ready to take off and really get going you can easily swing 10k per futures contract but the big dogs play there and its tough for us small guys to do anything but follow a trend.
The best starting contracts are corn, wheat and the russell, they move slower, have lower leverage per contract and tend to follow traditional TA closer. sp500 nasdaq and dow are heavy with algos who can easily chop you out too early or too late.
Some individual stocks may also have futures on them which accounts for big gaps at times when the stock isnt normally traded. Even if you dont trade futures you should absolutely watch thwir price action as they will commonly dictate everything else (including indexes)

Daily reminder that dividends are a meme and the market drops the stock to the % of the div on dividend date

This is all great info, but I feel like some of the verbage is over my head because I'm not as educated as you on this. I will start paying attention to futures though. Thanks again user.
