You get the flags because you drive for work right? Any chance you can get that eastern MA flag, or the missing CT flag on my map?
Dark colors are places I've personally been to since the map was started, which was sometime last spring. Right now there's only dark red and dark gray, because I've only been into California and Nevada, respectively. Next summer I'm planning for a road trip to Seattle, which of course will have me go through Oregon and Washington.
I've been to Oregon, Arizona, Hawaii, and Florida before, but those were earlier in my life.

it's all good. If you want to do some extra contributions for the flag community you could report on any municipal or county flags you see which may not already be here. Frankly just using the internet does not give us 100% coverage of all flags, as pictures of some don't exist or are very rare. Yeah, because they prefer greater autonomy but since they're essentially a part of the PRC now they are subject to the will of the Chinese government, and the Chinese want to basically give it the same status as nearby Shenzhen.
