The front room by the entrance is called veža, it's where you hang the jackets and coats and put the shoes on the shelf and most people have a basket or cupboard with slippers for the guests there.

Yes, we call it “předsíň”. Place where we keep shoes, hang coats and jackets, often there’s a big mirror. Mostly it doesn’t have the step. A lot of people change to in house shoes (slippers).
