Jogging is tiring, painful and choking in the first 20 to 30 minutes. After that, you feel easier. I guess fuel source is switched from blood sugar to fat at this timing.

Only works for the first couple of minutes. I have to breath through the mouth eventually, because I cant get enough air the other way.

More like first 10 minutes for me. After that breathing isn't even a problem, it's weird. Of course once you stop you crash.
The most effective breathing is to let your body do it automatically. Its rhythm and intake changes to suit your exertion. Thinking about it fucks it up.

Depends on the sport, with rowing I had to learn to breathe differently (one small breath, one large breath per stroke) it helps generate more power.

I used to have the ability to run extremely fast, I know from playing soccer, gym class, and neighborhood tag games. I was asked to join track. But I have flexible ankles and do dance and you shouldn't run because of your ankles and knees get damaged. If I need to run, I'm fast, but it is otherwise boring and lame.
Yoga, pilates, and dance are real exercises.

i love running alone, it's the perfect time for thinking. it's not painfull as many of you say once you will eventually get used to the pain you won't feel it anymore.
i have a fitbit but it's not necessary imo is useless. I see people with their phone but it's just a distraction and most of the time they use it

Running is alright, I do it so I don’t get any belly fat. It works, and sometimes it’s enjoyable (when it rains)
it was nice at the beginning I kept track of my sleep, steps, heartbeat but after a while I got "tired" of it and now I use it as a regular watch. the "feature" i use most are "run" stopwatch mode (it shows time, distance and average pace) and watch mode. i hate the fitbit because you need an account to use their app. I'm just an amateur so I don't need to keep track of everything everytime so for me it's not a must have accessory.

I listen to music while running to make it less boring also it's after 30 minutes that I really start feeling good so of course I continue. Started running around february, I run 4-5 times a week for 1 hour(=11km). I lost around 15kg since then so it's pretty fucking great

I want to start running but I'm so out of shape that I'm completely out of breath after a minute or two of light jogging, which is really fucking discouraging and embarrassing. And it's a hassle to go outside to run for like 5 minutes total before you give up.
