As first country in the world, Finland will place nuclear waste permanently underground, in very deep artificial cave made by Finland.
It happens in Olkiluoto, South West Finland, next to an active nuclear power plant. Non-permanent nuclear wastes made in Finland since 80s will be dumped there from their previous temporary placement zones.
It has been said these deep underground caves will have zero percent of leaking nuclear waste either to Finnish rivers (eurajoki river is right next to nuclear zone) or to the Baltic sea which is also in the immediate area of nuclear containment caves.
