NYC has a ton of parkland. Countless tiny parks and several large ones, such as Prospect Park in Brooklyn (a nice place to hang out).
New York has a lot of Polish immigrants, not just typical Amerimutts claiming Euro ancestry

I was very disappointed by Central Park. Being surrounded by tens of thousands of multi-million apartments I thought it would be almost like a botanical garden or those private forests European noblemen used to have. Instead it looks like they just let shitty mediocre nature grow on its own with only a few well kept corners.
