Consider everyone born in Ireland to be Irish I do. honestly, I don't get the big hullabaloo about it. I don't get butthurt nor see many others triggered at Irish people descended from Normans or whatever and no-one really knows what tribes they were or whatever and deciding only one or some of those are Irish so I don't really mind if Nigerian parents or Chinese parents give birth to their kids here and call them Irish. They generally have the local accents and attitudes of other Irish people, so why not? You could still find out if you were Norman or Leinster or whatever tribe and identify as this as well.
