Landlords don't produce or contribute any value. They just own tons of a universal basic resource for no good reason and get rich off of it at everyone else's expense. Housing should just be distributed.

yeah, we have the same problem we have social housing which you could rent if u are poor. They are maintained by the government but the tenants dont really take care of the property.

We unironically solved a lot of this by simply cutting checks to subsidize housing costs for poor people while letting them get housing from private landlords. It's not perfect and the program could use more funding, but I can't believe there are Americans who unironically support going back to government-run housing.

They have the favor from the city because they bring in the money, not the middles nor the working class. large businesses get priority.
