What kind of games do you want to see as dapps? It's going to be fun as hell being able to play multiplayer with lower latency since all parties connecting to a centralized server won't be required anymore.

Skycoin's CX is shaping up nicely with some proof of concept games in early development.

Imagine being as retarded as this guy.

That's not a guy, that's a fictional female video game character and her name is Metroid. She shoots monsters and doesn't afraid of anything.

> lower latency since all parties connecting to a centralized server won't be required anymore.
this is quite possibly the most retarded thing i have ever read. multiplayer games like fortnite etc. get low latency by developing their own networking protocols instead of using traditional TCP/IP, have servers located in each continent/region with bandwidth so high they could start a fucking intranet if they wanted.
>muh centralised server is bad.
yeh okay. good luck doing multihop with your shitcoin mesh network and getting the same latency.

Dapp games will be slow as shit making the whole idea the most retarded scam to ever come up in crypto. Just think of Tor compared to Firefox or even Internet Explorer. The only reason why anyone would be willing to tolerate decentralization/redundancy is if there is lack of trust in a system.

Noone needs a decentralized Candy Crush

Yeah, but if I'm in a town and playing multiplayer with some work buddies, why do we need to wait for our connection to hit a server 700mi away and come back to our town?

Performance would be so much better if we just had the right protocols to configure our activity to stay local to our town, and thus, with much better performance.

>implying internet speeds aren't growing much faster than gpu clock speeds and much more demanding games in the future won't just offload processing to the servers, making AAA dApp games highly unlikely

Decentralized apps are orders of magnitude slower than centralized apps and always will be

Depends on what you're doing with it.

If it's decentralized object storage, then sure, that's slow as fuck.

If it's decentralized matchmaking and hosting, then it would make things like Counterstrike fast as fuck.

>doesnt afraid of anything
Get the fuck off this board and go buy some English lessons with your skyscam.

The future of gaming is warehouses of PS5's being rented out and streaming staright to your TV via subscription services. DAPP's don't stand a chance.

>Goy! you NEED us to render your graphics for you! Don't forget to pay extra shekels to get Ultra High graphics rendering delivered to your VR goggles over our government backed Net Neutrality ultra fast bandwidth service!

How depressing. Decentralized gaming is going to be so much more interesting without someone telling you what games you can and can't mod from their plush office in Seattle.

Skycoin is a scam.

Yeah and how exactly would it link the decentralized servers together? You think big daddy cable is going to just let you use their lines?

I just want this game to be released, because I dropped funny money on it

Big daddy cable ain't going to like our plans at all. We ain't usin their lines.

Eth can't even run cat games. Kittycash will be fun though.

Centralized scam, CEO controls the only node and all of the funds

I love the idea of a gambler's pixel dungeon though, makes me wet. Hell I'm finishing the game myself if the devs don't

Newfag

CryptoKitty CASH is the real cryptokitty

That's cute.

This shit is going to explode if it turns out as intended

There's ethernet or wifi.

We're talking other sides of a city, not other sides of a room.

Nice, I have my skepticisms about EOS given that it's expensive as fuck to operate, but will be cool to see this as a proof of concept.

Well if you're hosting a private match for you and your buddies then you are the server.

Right, which becomes a pain in the ass if that one person is offline and they aren't running their server. Dapp multiplayer means something like a persistent server that lasts for a long period of time rather than shorter.

It's also a lot cheaper in theory.

Oh good more games that will be fun for he first day then filled with cheaters can’t wait.

I was actually thinking about that. Crypto tech should actually mean less cheating since the client files could be blockchain based, meaning that your client has consensus for what it's running, which would make it impossible to do things like edit texture files for seeing through walls and shit.
