there are three scenarios here
scenario 1: this is a shitcoin and it's just a coincidence that it's holding after so many pump and dumps
scenario 2: this is a legit coin with solid fundamentals that is being used for pump and dumps but it will go up anyway because of it's fundamentals
scenario 3: this is a legit coin and it's going to keep growing and this is actually organic growth like early bitcoin and early ethereum.

Imagine your node shares history with ten, twenty gossip nodes that are validating what you did, own and try to do. Imagine this ten/twenty nodes are down because of reasons. How do you prove yourself as a valid node and keep your transaction history accepted?
Well, nobody knows. Holofags says that the level of security will be chosen by the dapps developers, but the truth is nobody knows how an acceptable level of security would impact the performance of the holochain making it, at the end, equal or worse than a blockchain as it needs the same level of security to be comparable for some use cases/
