So first I caught the dip at 25x. My first Mex experience and I made $30,000 in about 40 minutes. Then I entered a long around the bottom but a crazy downwick liquidated me. That was the first crash down. The rest got liquidated when we last broke $10k where I shorted bu then a crazy upwick liquidated me.
What's the lesson? Don't go above 5x margin.

I need to vent about bitmex, any lurkers here are welcome to sympathize with me here. I FOMO'd as a newfag into alts near the beginning of the year. Obviously I got fucking CHINKED and lost half of my stack I was honestly telling myself that if I could cash out at least 12 eth from my alt gains that I would have (at the time) valuations of 24-50k in just eth holdings. Obviously after alts losing all their gwei and sats; also that ETH has crashed in price it wouldn't even matter if my alts ever mooned because ETH is fucking worthless now. So I started trading on bitmex with the last of my stack and actually did pretty well until I lost it all due to FOMO and lack of stop losses during FOMO. There really should be a fucking sticky on this board. Don't buy fucking scam coins and if you are going to leverage trade like everyone here secretly does make sure you don't invest more than you can write off for capital loss for the year (for amerifags its 3k) and make sure you are trying to average out DAILY gains even if they are small and less than 100 dollars. You do this by setting stop losses near your entry and using post only on trades. Follow these basic rules and you can average out good gains, and remember Arthur Nigger is trading against you on Bitmex so use the tools above and follow the fucking trend stop trying to make thousand dollar trades in a single day obsessing over BTC. It's worth it in the long run to make decent quarterly gains than to try to literally gamble it all on one trade and waste your life in front of a PC losing money.
