take a look at some of these companies financials
theyve taken on so much goddamned debt to try and get a foot in front of one another. its all a mad rush to try and be the first big name and grab as much market share as possible and never let go. but we dont even know how much of a market share there is tho, as its incredibly hard to get accurate data on what the capacity of an unreported (formerly) black market IS. everyone assumes its nigh infinite, but i seriously doubt there will be room for even HALF of these companies.
so what will they do if they cant capitalize and dont have any market share? no one is gonna lend them anymore. why would they? especially not w the debt loads most have taken on. so how will they keep the lights on? toxic convertible issuance and 3(a)(10) dilution followed by r/s after r/s and get the stockholders to BUY the fucking debt, meanwhile destroying their stocks sentiment and burning the whole sector to the ground except for the few that "make it". and even THOSE ones will have a rough go at it for the reasons i listed in the posts above. theyre also full up on debt up to their eyeballs
i see great potential in this new sector, but outside of a couple utterances of industrial hemp production, ive seen almost NOTHIN to make me think that this recreational market will be anywhere near as lucrative as they think itll be. they need to have steady revs and the only way to get that is through industrial manufacture of hemp. period.

just from a technical standpoint they ALL are trading well beyond their actual values. in the near term, these things HAVE to pull back. check the volume on CGC today. theyve run out of buyers up here. not to mention the sector is notorious for "sell the news" and often times "sell before the news" as everyone expects it.
that aside, i feel that the rec sales are grossly over estimated. even if im wrong, theres no way in hell ANY of these brand new companies are turnng even close to a profit for years. and like i was saying above, theyre already bogged down in tons of debt. whats CRONs P/E now? like a thousand or so? scratch that, i just looked. its 1199. and this isnt just CRON. its all of them
now ive known people who grow this stuff on massive scales in cali. and ive met in passing a few who export it to other places (ie blackmkt). every single one of those fuckers is either hanging up the towel, or trying to get IN on this new industry. they know as well as anyone that govt involvement will inflate price. and w legal issues out of the way, more people will grow it as they CAN now w out worry. many already do, but even peoples parents and stuff who use it for pain are gonna be growing it now. its gonna be everywhere. its a fucking weed. you can grow it literally anywhere. its HARD to kill, even if you know nothing about plants, and w a couple plants and youll have MORE than enough to satisfy any ones persons recreational needs for a whole year. not to mention, these private growers will be able to sell it and undercut the govt growers.and the most talented growers out there are NOT being picked for these new companies grow ops in MANY cases.
i have faith in this industry in the long term. it will be fucking awesome and help a lot of people and industrial hemp will be great for the environment. this is NOT the time to buy and hold forever tho. unless you have IRON hands
