The recent massive sell off let SKY clean. Now the coins are redistributed to smallet investors, which means there won't be any selling pressure while SKY value will go up again.

I would love a rebrand to Skyfi for both the coin itself and Skywire. The less amount of names the better, plus even though the project is old, the whole "somethingcoin" is out of fashion. Skyfi, which I believe is the name of a german forum about Skycoin, as a name just let you know what this is about. Skycoin sounds cheap.
Also the logo should be less Soundcloud-ish imo. Would be nice a bounty for a whole redesign, it would be healthy. No need to chose a winner if none is good enough, but nothing to lose trying.

why should it lay low? the more it goes up, the more profit we can reap. it is now clear it is a speculators market. until the alts and etc dont become stable, they wont be risk free investments and/or mass adopted currencies
I think it will knock out BTC, yes. It most probably won't kill ETH though.
If you hodl NXS and in all honesty are not a paid shiller, I would tell you to reconsider. Look at the commits: correction of misspells and fake submissions to have the feelngt the repo is not dead. And of course they have no satellites, dummy.
I don't hold either because of the opportunity cost of investing into new infrastructure this early in the game.
And lol, I could just as easily say SkyCoin is a scam because they paid a homeless man to say good things about their crypto on video.

rebranding while launching is death sentence. SKYfi, wire, ledger, coin etc are parts of SKY ecosystem. I don't think they need a rebrand. what SKY needs right now is public support, users who'd like to contribute and spread the word.
Tech quality will speak for this name. There is also another detail ignored by many: each part of the ecosystem is self-sustainable. Each name reflects a part of the ecosystem, not the whole project.

that is the intention of the devs, it does not mean that all of the above will be replaced by skywire apps, at least not in the near future. they will have a limited use for the community, then, if they got traction, they will propagate beyond it

Got my rewards for the past few months as well. I have the official miner. I haven't touched my wallet since I got my SKY refund so I have over 1 million coin hours now. Feeling comfy.
The official miner reward was 7.2 SKY per node this month so it was about 57.6 SKY not 96.
Terrible coin. Buy 0xBTC instead.

You guys realize how scammy this pitch sounds? Even if Skycoin will create alternatives that can compete in all those areas the product should stand alone. Would make more sense to show how all these work in tandem with each other to create a closed ecosystem. Instead you all just circlejerk in telegram and cry about community engagement.

It's not scammy, it's the ecosystem sky will deliver, its Skycoin was only designed to replace bitcoin, the other parts are just part of the skycoin ecosystem. They dont all have to be developed or released at the same time. For now we have Skycoin and soon CX and Skywire. Then we'll move on to Fiber, CXO, BBS etc
Skycoin - Generates coinhours
Coinhours - Sell to those without coinhours
Skywire - Pay skywire node with coinhours to use it. Oh dont have any? Connect to it to buy directly from the node.
CXO - Use CXO for hosting by paying in coinhours to CXO nodes (Skyminer has X amount of nodes that can each be configurated to run either skywire, cxo etc etc)
Fiber - Run your own blockchain on the Skycoin network, pay nodes to run your software or set up your own nodes
And so on. And anyone can become a node by either buying or building their own node (skyminer)
