Here in Australia, a five pack of Indomie Mi Goreng noodles go for $2.75, which is 425g or $6.50/1kg. Pasta and rice is a lot cheaper but potatoes are similarly priced. Noodles only require a kettle to cook, which is a lot more poorfag friendly.
Pasta and processed meat roll is a better combination, though, for prices here. It's basically petfood but cheaper and just as nutritious.
