How is Israel so fertile? What is special about their culture and religion? I thought they were a modern and multicultural country like much of the west.

Arabs and ultra orthodox pump those numbers up, most families in tel aviv only have 2 children if any at all

ARAB BVLLS

Do most ultraorthodox children stay that way or is it more of a jehovah's witnesses situation?

Interesting

having an actual national identity probably helps

Religious countries have more kids. This is why europe needs faith.

I don't know any ultra orthodox people but most of them stay that way, It's really hard to escape that lifestyle even if you want to from what I've heard.
Thanks rare fren

>It's really hard to escape that lifestyle even if you want to from what I've heard.
sad

Big khazar milkers

Dunno about Israel but in the US most people who are born into it stay Orthodox forever. Even if you wanted to leave that lifestyle, it's not easy, so perhaps some people just play along

t. Born orthodox

Religion + taxes on normalfags to support those 8 kid religious families

Its the most awful stuff you can imagine, brainwashing from a young age, and they grow up completely disconnected from the modren world, and they are really hostile towards outsiders too, the most notorious of these neighborhoods is mea shearim, going in there is like a trip back to the dark ages

According to the statistics Arabs have a growth rate of 2.1% and Jews 1.7%, so its not a large difference

The Israeli government, fearing demographic inequality with Arabs in surrounding countries and within their own borders, promoted having large families to make up the difference. It's reflected in the numbers even today. The Ultra-Orthodox in particular need no nudging towards large families. They'd be doing that anyway.

This has created a demographic problem within Israel, since the country is the size of New Jersey and can't really hold all the people. The density of Israel (north of the Negev) approaches that of Bangladesh, and the people there will face increasing pressures on their natural environment and in particular water scarcity as the climate warms.

It has also become a point of social unrest, as the most religious among Israelis have significantly larger families, and also rely on government subsidies the most and many don't work. They also refuse to serve in the IDF. This has created political wranglings and protests as the country grapples with what to do with the Ultra-Orthodox.

Has the high population growth caused a problem yet with such a small country?

>as the country grapples with what to do with the Ultra-Orthodox.
Unless you're literally training to be a rabbi, either start working or grab a rifle and start training. What's gonna happen when they're a quarter of the population, then a third, etc....?

>What's gonna happen when they're a quarter of the population
Until now, the answer has largely been "nothing". You might have 25% of the population not working or conscripted, but you also have 25% of the electorate ensuring it stays that way.

Not for now no, but I can't even begin to imagine what the future will look like, with these huge numbers of ultra orthodox jews their parties will take up more and more seats and will most likely end up giving them complete control over how our country is run, they already have too much power, and they use it to get more free money, and fuck over the average man, and theres also the fact that they don't conscript, which basically means a huge portion of the population gets free money, and doesn't do anything in return, there needs to be alot of new changes implemented soon or else this country will meet its demise

that's not the full story. even secular jews (sans maybe tel aviv where half of the pop is lgbt) ie no settlers and orthodox in israel have a bigger fertility rate than the rest of the western world. dunno the full extent to why it happens, but in general i'm guessing it's because there's a certain conservative mentality of the more the merrier and stricter gender and family roles that are weaker in other countries, also fear of being replaced by arabs (white geno - i mean jewish genocide) and government encouraging birth for the same reasons; the gov financially supports families past a certain number of kids and pays for some aspects of the birth process (like the ultrasound check iirc)

Until a crisis hits of course. The market loves Israeli innovation, but what happens when there are less and less people innovating and more and more people consuming? Somebody will have to make the hard decision to either cut benefits or privilleges.

the fertility rate of non orthodox is still the highest of the OECD

reminder that you need to have sex to increase the chances of anne frank number two being born

cool flag

my sister looks like her, a lot

does she act similarly personality wise to Anne Frank?

never read the diary so idk

>the close orthodox communities
3%-5%
>the more open orthodox communities
10%
>the most open orthodox communities(such as chabad)
20%

In Estonian we have this too
>Childbirth allowance is paid to the parent, adoptive parent, guardian, or curator of the child. Childbirth allowance is a single allowance of €320 per each child born. In case of the birth of triplets or more than three children at a single confinement, the childbirth allowance is €1000 per each child born.
Except for some reason after the SU collapsed everyone started dying.

imagine living your whole life like that lmao
wearing those sweaty stinky cloths and fur hat till you drop dead, never learning history or english or math, living under rules that make some islamic states look liberal, fucking shit

most of the Negev uninhabited, the north and especially the Golan are mostly empty.
we have a lot of room to expand, we get most of our water from desalination, so I don’t think it would be for quite a while.

>320 Euros one time allowance
Its like a slap in the face in the modern west

Living in a family that is part of the chabad movement isn’t as bad.
but for the rest, no TV, no smartphone, no internet. truly horrifying. and then if you leave it, you have no useful skills and no education.

tfw you'll never go to a ultra orthodox party

I've read something about how much it costs to have a baby in the US. Maybe here we just compensate it that way more.

These are orthodox jews aka parasites

are they similar to Amish?
