That's why renting sucks

The landlord may change his price however he pleases whenever the lease is renewed (usually annually or every two years). He probably just wants his current tenants out, he'll never get new ones if he's demanding that much

That's why you buy land

Don’t live in California

It sucks because the government wants people to buy houses and live in suburbs.

This would be illegal here.

Did you miss the part where it's Cali?

Guy was probably renting a broom closet for that amount

wholy shit time to get a new apt, ideally somewhere far the fuck away from Shitlifornia

>overnight
Finnish literacy everyone

>land of the free
free to rise your rent lel

You're free to buy a dwelling wherever you want, user

Stop making excuses

Are you unironocally defending landlords who can throw out their tenants just like that because they want to rent it to somebody else? That shit is crazy

his home probably doubled in value because new tech companies sprouted up in his area

>ideally somewhere far the fuck away from Shitlifornia

NO

Keep them in their containment zone

Thanks Trump

americans are subhumans

>American bills are are filled out like a game of Mad Libs

Dont be cruel, the Shitlifornia underclasses are as human as you or me.

The government literally subsidizes home loans and provides precious few protections to renters. It's a systemic problem.

The lease was up for renewal. The landlord can adjust rent as they wish, and the tenant is free to either pay the new amount or move.

There's nothing wrong with it, if he thinks he can get people to rent for that much then go for it. It's not like they can change the price mid lease so i dont see a problem.

Inglewood is a tech hub? No just landlords are greedy

it should be here too

>Boo hoo the government doesn't cater to retards like me

Get over yourself and accept the fact that rent will ALWAYS go up (although seldomly like OP) or buy a house

Its common for legal documents, some lawyer already carefully wrote it up to fill all the legal checkboxes and then the guy has to just fill it out.

I live in Chicagoland where there's plenty of tech companies, yet our rent is still $1000 for a 2 bedroom. Its pure California sociopathy

Based, those dirty smelly tenants have way to many rights here in Germany.

SEETHING rentcucks itt

My rent is probably $1000 less than it should be due to soaring real estate prices. There's rent control preventing my landlord from doing this buy I'm always worried I'll get kicked out for a random reason to bypass it.

But it’s the landlords property? Shouldn’t they be able to charge what they think is a fair rate?

>Inglewood

Holy shit they'd have to be paying me $2725 a month to live in Inglewood, place has an astronomical robbery rate, and higher murder rate than the surrounding areas except Compton

Looks really vibrant

Rent always goes up because home values almost always go up due to government policies.

Should've thought about that before taking people in.

of course, the point that your amerifat brain don't think of is that moving out immediately can't be done unless they already have another house lined up and can take time off from work to get it done

but keep sucking on that circumcised corporate cock like you amerimutts always do

this happens in sweden too

worst of all is that literally every right wing NPC defends it

The obvious solution is to buy a home

I can't imagine wanting to rent indefinitely. Pathetic

>DA GUBERMINT

Every single time. And yet the "government policies" here that supposedly drive up prices, lock rent growth percentages so low that a $1500 overnight raise isn't posible.

>The obvious solution is to buy a home
Before or after giving the manager a firm handshake?

they have 60 days

absolutely seething and obsessed with cocks

They did think about it, that’s why the rate has increased.

>The obvious solution to not being able to afford $2700 is to spend $270,000

yes, they are able to do that before people move in

it sucks because they want to push out niggers and wetbacks

uhhhh according to this Swedoid its illegal to raise rents in Sweden: , so maybe call police

You can find an apt and work at the same time. The main issue is that he's in California and needs to quit his job and buy a 1 way ticket out of there ASAP

Imagine the water company increasing the price of their water overnight

If you had bothered to look at the image in the OP you'd see that the landlord was required to give 60 days notice to the renter

americans are the ones obsessed with mutilating their cocks

bro you bring it up more than we ever do lol. that's an obsession.

>but keep sucking on that circumcised corporate cock like you amerimutts always do

Surprisingly it's not the corporate worship at play here. It's the same thing here, Boomers have standardized the idea that rental property ownership is the highest and most enlightened form of income and everyone needs to be a rent jew into retirement.

Because of this, even the most anti-corporate people who bitch about every ounce of corporate power and every unjust law will suddenly spin a 180 and defend the shit out of regulations or lack there of when it comes to rent prices and property leasing, because they want to one day be a rent jew too, and they can't campaign against that.

it's not overnight retard

Lol Jewish landlord

Well in this case just 60 days prior so you have 60 days to get your own water supply or else start paying $10 per gallon

>Jewish landlord

Why did you repeat yourself?

Europeans cannot read for shit, even the OP claimed it was "overnight".

cringe

Well if it's analogous to renting then I have 100s of other water supply options in my city

In the Netherlands many wealthy boomers decide age 60 is the right time to start their own little business empire and buy some block in the big scary city and turn it into studio apartments using 0% interest mortgages.

In USA you can't usually pick your water supplier. But there is other ways to get apt.

However, in California they will all try to bleed you dry that is the very premise of the state

Yes, or move somewhere with lower rent, but if you choose to keep renting you'll always be beholden to a landlord, as it should be

The rent is going up overnight. It's a 60 day notice.

You're sad

>Please consider my retarded "what if" scenario

But even with people moving in it’s still the landlords property?

Not overnight here, but they can unilaterally adjust their rates even if I protest.

Because most landlords in the US are not Jewish even though they may act like it

then the rent does not change "overnight", it changes over 60 days

yes that's what he said

fuck off, degenerate

We don't have market rents here. Sweden has rent regulation that limits how high rents can be.

actually had this happen to me once. the landlord gave me a month to find somewhere else to live. so i jizzed all over his walls and carpet

It actually changes in 68 days (SIXTY EIGHT) because its whichever is later, and March 9 is later than 60 days

I am the king of reading comprehension

interesting
kek

I’m sure you really stuck to the next guy who rents from that landlord.

people CHOOSE to live here?

>$2750
Wtf I don't even get that much after taxes. How much do americans earn? We really are europoor

apparently 15% increase per YEAR is the maximum allowed here, with the exception when there are big renovations being made to the apartment, when it can be more

So your country literally never raises the cost of rent? Rent for your 17th century flat is still the same as when the building was built huh?

Fuck off with your bait bullshit. The tenants have 60 days to find somewhere else to live. Every country has some similar system and it either favors the renter more or the landlord more. The renter is not automatically entitled to more favor just because your inability to buy property makes you empathize with him more.

Working with renters turns you into an honorary Jew. Renters break shit and expect you to be at their beck and call, are constantly late with payments with some bullshit sob story you've heard a thousand times before, and will skip town after being a couple of months behind on their rent AND leave all their shit behind for you to clean up

No, Inglewood is like Compton and Oakland. You didn't choose to be there, you were born there and your family can never save enough to move the fuck out.

yes, and the landlord still charge the rate he thought was reasonable when they made an agreement

>people CHOOSE to live here?
>choose
howling

I earn about $8,000 a month. Used to be $10,000 but oh well.

You don't turn into a jew just by being strict and greedy

not the first guy, no.

Wut. The issue is if it is reasonable for landlords to adjust rents based on the market rate.

capitalist pig

i make $3,600/month but $2,750 a month is absurd.

OH SAY CAN YOU SEE

kill all landlords

Yes you do

Deal with it poorfag

American Median income is $4700 a month

Honestly these income stats have always fascinated me. I come from a lower class family, still am but we've always lived quite comfortably for ourselves (Growing up I had every game major console that ever released, got new games and movies on a weekly basis, went on vacations, visited family in the US, had 2 cars, etc) in a moderately nice city even though we've had a single income as low as $650 a week, which is apparently less than half of the median in Canada. I don't get if my parents were wizards with budgeting or if everyone else in the middle class is living a MAJORLY better life than me and I never noticed.

If the previous price is fair for the property in question, then move to a new one with better price. If second is fair, then the landlord is finally charging the full amount, right?

Ah yes, the always impressive logic of "There's only 1 jew in town, just move where it's cheaper".

Literally Ben Shapiro tier

They made major personal sacrifices to make you happy

Make a revolution then.

It really just depends on the area. 4.7k monthly would be shit where I live

poorfags get gibs.

this is correct, the landlord raised his price to get his tenant to leave. There are plently of other places to rent

Yeah I used to grow up in a low class family as well and lived comfy life. I don't earn that much but I have in the end of the month usually like 500€ extra I don't know where to spend. I have 20k now in stocks. Do americans live paycheck to paycheck with their salaries? Explain mutts

We never got gibs, other than standard low income tax breaks. We were always above the line for welfare (I am older now, 29) as when I was a kid having a job at all cut you off from welfare, not sure if it's different now but I assume it is given a lot of people seem to be on welfare now.

I got grandfathered into a rent controlled apartment, stay mad mortgage cucks. I pay $900/mo for a 1 BR apartment in a trendy hipster area where those normally go for $3,000/mo. Also my rent only goes up 2.5% every 2 years when I renew my lease.

He's saying "Oh my God" because his landlord fucked up the paperwork. This isn't legal

people here love to spend more than they make. They'll buy expensive sports cars every few years, a brand new $900 phone every year, buy a home every 15 years, etc. Everybody thinks i'm cheap because I like to save money lol

based. I live in the centre of my city + underground parking garage on rent control as well. Losers next door don't even have a place to park lmao
