I am extremely skeptical of Ethereum scaling to support the enterprise usage that Chainlink is proposing. Rchain, Zilliqa, Constellation, Dfinity or something else can easily replace it in a few years if they don't get Sharding/Casper up and running fast enough. Even Etheremon is moving over to Zilliqa. Don't get me wrong, I want Ethereum to scale. I own FOAM tokens and if they are building on Ethereum it absolutely has to scale for my stack to be worth anything.

You are looking at it all wrong. It doesn't need to scale right now. It will service non time sensitive contracts like legal agreements, bonds, payroll, etc. There is quite alot of agreements that will work just fine at the current speed of it because they don't need to be isntant.

Then time sensitive stuff can be done on other chains through LINK adapters. If ETH scales then it can be done on there, if not, then other chains will handles the high transaction volume stuff. For DAPP's that need high usage, HOT has a real shot for consumer DAPPS

The big problem with LINK is that it's middleware with no adopted base to work on. It doesn't control its own destiny. It all depends on ETH or another blockchain platform becoming adopted and in demand for smart contracts... then LINK needs to actually produce a working product... then THAT needs to get adopted. The space is just moving away from even needing oracle crypto like LINK. Holo is the future.
