It is abso-fucking-lutely astounding that Americans LITERALLY BELIEVE that the American media is being somehow unfairly critical of China. These suggestions that opinion outside of China is somehow more suppressed and more orchestrated than the opinions in China is fucking laughable.

There was a word for this attitude not so long ago; paranoid schizophrenia. You fear your own government so much that you disbelieve everything it says, and if the Chinese agree with you, you back them, despite the fact that THEY ARE THE TOTALITARIANS. Any piece of evidence which supports your preconceived assessment, no matter how ludicrous, is immediately gospel truth; even when voiced by the devil himself.

Let me be clear, I'm not saying you're wrong for suggesting reactionary leftists soften to China in order to oppose Trump, that is true. I'm saying that such a position is being encouraged by the perception of Trump's control of the media is false.
