they dont age well.

japs have the cutest babies and kids, then puberty is rough on the asian - really threading the needle there with 99% being disgusting - but by their late 30s asian women keeping thin, demure and fashionable start to largely outpace the dessicated husk of european wrinklebags - but the euro woman is loveable again as grandma in her 70s, whereas the asian granny just seems mean and dangerous.

the euro peak is 13-21 and 70-death. which is why there is such a strong history of adolescent romance and tragedy and then a type of end of life acquisition and distribution of knowledge.

whereas the asian curve is smoother, with a bittersweet transition into adulhood responsibility (rather than an idiotic rebellion against your own system) and then a graceful decline into old age - at which point becoming crazy is normalized due to poor elderly care and general neglect as production has dropped significantly.
