I would say that we have Christians only on paper. Before 90's when we where occupied by Communists being a christian was a one more ''fuck you'' to them. That is why people tend to say they are religious.
(by the way- religion was on it's death bead here, but EU and Islamism revived it and now religious people are slowly increasing )

Oh, it is. They take an already autistic take on protestant christianity (american protestanism), and turn it into a complete circus. I've even heard stories that American mormons tend to exclude latinos in the US representing them because they're turned off by their more overzealous nature.

What I don't get is how some latinos fall for religions that are obviously more centered on the US than any other countries. It's one thing for some of the Puerto Ricans to be doing that, but for the other latinos living in fully sovereign nations?
