Yesterday I spend 4 hours on Bitmex and ended up cashing out above my initial. Correcting months of losses. I have zero idea what I was doing, for me it was a 50/50 on a binary outcome. Imagine people who know what they are doing. Why is Jow Forums so anti Bitmex again? Suckers.

Nice bait
>imagine shorting #2 coin after it lost over 90% value while shorts are at ATH
Could the bulls be setting up the biggest bear trap the market has ever seen?
haha, yeah nice bait. Oh shit look at this leaderboard.
And open positions

I made a lot of money in 4 hours, I don't care. Now I am long on BTC with a 5x margin and liq. below 5.5k. Going to ride this out for the next months while I spend more time figuring out how this works and how I can hedge. Imagine shorting ETH at the top when it went onto Bitmex, or BTC from 20k to 6k, you'd be sitting on millions now. But the tide will turn, bottom longers will also make it to the top in longs.
> pic related from plebbit.
it can go both ways, and even if you long correctly, you usually have a dump/shakeout/long liquidation before the breakout pump or vice versa a pump to make people FOMO and increase buy pressure before the dump. So it is really risky with that high leverages and close liquidation prices
(5.5k seems fine though)
My buddy just sent me this... free signals... don't see what i have to lose

If you like it sign up with my referral, don't be a douchebag
I am convinced that it will go both ways but that at some point we'll meet equilibrium and go from bear to bull market, accelerated by margin trading we did not have when the last bull cycle came around.
protip: they dont know what they're doing either
it's good that there's always an influx of people like op, so we memelines drawers can make money
traders influence the market while memelines do not. so why would memelines ever be accurate?
Enough people put faith in the memelines they draw to dictate their trading behaviour, causing the market to behave in the same pattern that they predicted. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
consistent patterns show market sentiment and where the supply and demand are, while people like op just run with the crowd. newcomers are lucky
until people with influence come along, draw the charts as they see fit and then do the opposite of what is expected
> Enough people
Describe "enough" people, willing to bet that most people do not buy by analyzing meme-lines. Creating events which cannot be anticipated by meme-lines, invalidating the very application of memelines.
Supply and Demand area is about one of the very few indicators which matter, beyond that memelines are just over calculated coin flips on a 50/50 outcome.
I'm not saying it happens all the time, at least small scale but the ultimate "bubble" memeline is a prime example.
I was up 20% from my initial on the first day and then lost 30% on a single trade right the next day
it's definetly fun, I'm just playing around with pocket money tho
No shit I've been doing the same every 3-6 weeks. I just hodl a bunch of shitcoins and BTC and everytime there was a bump I just did a coinflip on Bitmex and it worked.
Am I lucky or is winning the first few positions part of the ponzi?
> I'm not saying it happens all the time,
Well, that is kind of the thing. Why rely on something unless it can give you a guarantee to pan out correctly most of the time? TA/FA are extrapolations on a binary outcome, up or down, 50/50. And just like a coinflip, you can land on heads 20x in a row, yet get the wrong result from it.
me gamble me win me smart haha
I started trading seriously in august 20 and made like 15%(in btc) in like 3 days just trading 2 barts with 1/4 of my stack. Then the barting stopped and I didn't know what to do lol. Actually had a 10x long opened from 6.5k, but I made a mistake so it ended up being only like 15 dollars lol. Now I'm all in(with my bitmex stack) 5x long liq at 5.3k.
> Then the barting stopped and I didn't know what to do lol.
Right now my game plan is to get my liq. price down and at the same time scalp myself into a lower entry position. Its been working well, only downside is that I don't get any sleep.
I was up 400% percent after 4 days and then lost it all on longing at 6400 with 50x leverage.
should have taken out initial and go on trading with profits.
