Gemini Dollar. Backed by a real bank. Follows FDIC regulations. Monthly audit available to the public.
RIP Tether. We hardly knew ye.

How much for a Gemini coin?
How much lets say in the five years ?
jCash was earlier.
why does no one realize gemini dollar was created so they can get their ETF approved?
a dollar
a dollar
>powered by eth
hur dur eth to double digits
Stablecoins are the future. In the future blockchains will release their coins as stablecoins that inflate and deflate in supply according to the network size.
so what as long as it works
ethereum price does not have any correlation to the network. it will go to double digits though
no I'm saying that's the most CRUCIAL element than absolutely no one is talking about, or they don't realize it. I can't tell which. It's all just "RIP tether" "herp-derp tether" etc.
The SEC has continually said the main reason ETFs continue to be rejected is because not one single applicant can provided the reserve funds necessary to protect investors. Literally, the single only point that remains unchecked, which is why the VanEck ETF proposal in a few weeks is getting people excited because it actually has backed funds. A means to check the last box.
So, gemini dollar actually gives the Winklevoss's those reserve funds required to get their own ETF approved, might not be the first one anymore. But, in theory, given the nature of past rejections and the reasons why, gemini dollar will ultimately get their ETF approved.
Wont work for the same reason true USD doesn't work.
Volume is key for shit stablecoins
"eth killers" sweating into their curry
Actually, market manipulation is preventing etfs.
>ERC20 token backed by dollar
what a fucking joke
what a piece of shit
This is the correct answer. The wash trading and chicanery is so brazen and unabashed that the SEC thinks it unsafe even for accredited investors. Backing the ETF with dollars doesn't change the fact that those dollars are chained to a commodity where bad actors can just decide to destroy or support equity price, not according to the fundamentals of the commodity, but according to whether they want to accumulate or liquidate.
how do we make money with this
in other words:
> investors buy BTC ETF
> neet whales who accumulated years ago because muh decentralization crash the price
> non stop calls to SEC office that they could approve such a ponzi
one dollar bob
NY State launched their own crypto
Link pls?
its just not (((their))) ponzi
Can I get a quick rundown on these guys?
That won't make them stable. Stable coins are backed by the physical assets we tie value to in the traditional system. Thats the only reason they are stable.
1 bitcoin is always 1 bitcoin. 1 dollar is always 1 dollar.
1 bitcoin does not always equal 1 dollar and 1 dollar does not always equal one bitcoin
good so baby boomers don't get confused
network size? who is stopping anyone from making a billion wallets and doing transactions between them?
Tether is long due implosion. We're lucky if an alternative comes before it's found out that Tether doesn't have enough money to actually cover everything.
They have in their TOS that us citizens cant own Tether. You'd have to be pretty blind to not see the truth from that.
Based twins, finally freeing us of the tether cancer
Next up: Close down bitmex
I love Gemini except when they crash and can’t log in
I’m b4 the top 5 coins on cmc are just crypto dollars and this whole this was just a waste of time
>nope.jpg
fees are 1% now
surely no need for Bitcoin now then?
or u mean when they go on 'maintenance' during pumps and dumps
these corrupt fucks are gonna get their exchange shut down
Unless they print billions, who gives a shit?
Damn near every exchange is like that though.
this makes 0 sense.
First of all you're mixing backing with insurance, btc etf will be backed by btc and insured with usd.
Who cares if it's usd or gusd?
this.
Basically Gemeni is the most trusted normie exchange. This gives normies the ability to do payments between eachother like paypal without the headache of the exchange, fees, and changing prices.
You can't make money with this. It's not even worth to put dollars into it. You can't exchange them anywhere but Gemeni. It's simply a way for you to store $$$ in crypto with intentions of bringing it back to Gemeni or pay for things among other Gemeni users.
>sell at the eoty for gusd
>wait a year to sell gusd for usd
tax benefits to using gusd instead of usd?
Gemini is the worst. Even little pumps and dumps it always goes into maintenance page for a few mins
Margin trading is against Gemeni terms of service and they do not let you do that at the moment.
>RIP Tether. We hardly knew ye.
Nice. Where does it say that GUSD will be traded on finex or binance?
>we don't let our clients do it but we let our bots do it
yeah, those brothers can go fuck themselves
Doesn't make it right either way
not bitfinex, they are pretty flawless for over a year now
Either way, name an exchange that is going to make it easier to cash out with
ayyyy bull run confirmed
Exchanges can add any coin they want give you know this is crypto and all and the whole entire fucking point is permissionless currency.
But will Gemini allow GUSD to be sent off their exchange to be traded by those that have not been approved? There will be jyc to buy/sell it for $ so why wouldn't there be to trade it in between?
>But will Gemini allow GUSD to be sent off their exchange to be traded by those that have not been approved
yes, it works as a normal erc20 token. You can send it to anyone
kyc*
so they will probably do chain analysis to track it. like pax.
Why aren't the two pajeet EOS shills in this thread?
I mean I like the exchange, don't get me wrong. Nice ui and all, but the maintenance and the shady fact that the brothers are also traders doesn't fit right with me when there's over a couple 'maintenance's every hour during a bullrun.
I'm not even using a fucking bot and it's sad how many times the exchange fails to satisfy my needs as a client when I can't even sell or buy during a huge movement in price
When did it do this to you? I've never had it do maintenance.
all of 2017
I didn't have Gemeni last year. From what I have read most of their growth and improvement on the exchange/customer service has been made this year.
let's hope they're prepared for the next bullrun
but does it also have a backdoor like tether so they can steal your dollars at any time?
if so its actual value isnt $1 its $0
This is so stupid it makes my brain hurt.
