Im a little confused here user. I don't think you understand what smart money is.

Let me explain

You have a browser thats growing at 500k users per month. For comparison I believe Warcraft grew at 500k users per month in the beginning, and peaked at around 12 million subscriptions with a lifetime gross revenue of roughly 10B. Brave has 4 million monthly active users. Thats not even the best part. The browser is still basically at it shittiest, its core function is not available, and it has largely grown without the aid of any advertisement. Let me reiterate. This is barely a functioning product, and its growing at the same rate as early world of warcraft. Brave has not been in the news cycle, their advertisement is minimal, their product is close to full functionality, and its already successful.

But wait theres more. Brave is the test bed for BAT. BAT wont be only limited to the brave browser, and BAT wont be limited to only browser applications. This means BAT can be integrated into safari which would actually be a very good strategic move for apple if the ad system works. Also BAT has been proposed for podcast players, smart tvs etc.

BAT is also normie friendly. You autists think a browser is too complicated for normies to download while at the same time think they are going to fuck around with private and public keys or use your creepy version of venmo etc, just fucking lol.

Im not going to go into the team which consists of the father of the internet or looming regulations, ad fraud, free riding, privacy, partisan issues, or the 20k content creators that are ready to shill this browser once its ready.

There are just so many moving parts with BAT/Brave, and most of them are good. There could honestly be one catalyst or several.

You basically have a shill force of 20k content creators who all want a piece of the pie.

You have GDPR regulations that are looming in European nations.

People are becoming more, and more aware of their privacy and will use a solution if presented.

Partisan issues like big tech censoring voices. Left of center all the way to the far right can get behind supporting someone besides google.

Brave is also the underdog story that reporters want to write about. Small browser wanting to take on big bad google.

Theres just way too much to even speculate on how it could happen.

using Brave right now. It's patrician-tier on mobile, but yes, rather plebeian on desktop. I am a bitcoin maximalist, but I have made one exception and it's BAT. Three reasons:

1) Eich is a smart guy, and he rightfully has a vendetta against Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is our enemy too, if you believe in decentralization.

2)Digital advertising is in fact broken. This is a clever way to remedy it.

3)I think it will make me good money.

You have ad agencies like Ogilvy and Mather who are going to work with large premium clients like Caterpillar, and you have ad agencies with names you wouldn't recognize who work with companies who rent Caterpillar equipment. There is a stark difference between the two types of clients. One recognizes the value proposition of digital ads, and the other barely understands what they are other than they heard about trying the facebook ad thingy.

I was working with smaller clients who didn't want to help themselves and it was a huge drain. I probably should have made the transition to a larger agency, but by that point I already knew enough about the advertisement industry, and came to the conclusion I would be better off putting my chips in Brave/BAT while finding something else to do I might enjoy better. Putting together text ad campaigns, reports, etc is not sexy.

It was a lot of stuff honestly. Also made me understand just how dogshit digital ads are. Poor conversion rates, ad fraud, high competition, etc etc. Brave/BAT was a better alternative, and it doesnt even have to be on par with something like twitter or snapchat to be very successful, and twitter and snapchat fucking poverty.
