I have been to both places and have to say I would not be able to stand a big city such as NYC. I live in a city larger and shittier than there, but LA feels far more tame to me than NY.

NYC is much better than LA

Nope. Last time I walked there (huge mistake in retrospect), I literally saw half a fucking sex doll in a childrens playground. In addition, there was a huge amount of trash and some random african immigrants talking by the park, all in 20 mins.
