Wrong. Hitler never wanted the US to get involved in the war at all. Why would he care about a country full of people with western European ethnicity thousand of kilometers away? Hitler hated Slavs and Jews, which Americans were none of. If Hitler had won against the Soviet Union it would have been very likely that that would've been the end of the war.
He stupidly declared war against us when we declared war on Japan after they declared war on us. Meanwhile Japan did dick for Germany.
