I used to live in south carolina before moving to new york, and a lot of my friends from there are maga hat wearing conspiracy theorists.
Like one guy mentioned epstein being murdered, which isnt too farfetched, but then goes on to blame it specifically on the democrats.
Like only one political party has a reason to have him killed.

I disagree fundamentally with conservatives, but I respect people who are willing to stand behind their ideas instead of supporting a personality or just to "own people who disagree"

Anyone find it weird how Twitter has slowly morphed into a version of Facebook, with user stats? They've basically reclaimed the older core audience of younger people Facebook used to have.

I'm young (24) and I've never got around to liking other platforms. Facebook is still the best in my opinion. A lot of people on my friends list barely use it, but it's way more useful to me than instagram or twitter.

Me neither. I left facebook and I never got into other social media. Just in general with our generation the shift was from FB to Twitter. Twitter is absolute shit though, such an awful way to have social interaction.

I think it's that it gives literally anyone a voice. The concept of having followers also goes to people's heads, they tweet like crazy hoping for attention. Look at any Trump tweet, it's always the same group of people instantly jumping in with a reply and getting tons of likes.

Exactly. That's why I don't think it really "replaced" facebook the way facebook replaced myspace.
It just seems like a place for people to attentionwhore or get into political arguments.
What sucks about facebook though, is that at some point they changed the algorithm so that the same 10 people see your posts. My posts used to reach people I hardly talked to, which was cool. Now it's just a circle jerk of my closest 5 male friends, and my boomer/xoomer family members.

that doesn't seem like much fun. I liked facebook because of its versatility.
At that point it doesn't really seem like it's for interacting, just following what people have to say.
