Some people asked for the Vays part of this debate.
Roger "Hur dur - killing babies"
Tone "Don't spend ur bitcoin unless the vendor RESPECTS it"
Noobs "You guys keep yelling and scaring me - I wanted to buy some but now I'm scared"

Maxies make Ver seem reasonable every time.
Adam Smith would say that if you use btc as money it would lose its value.
>i sell my bitcoin to people who care about bitcoin
im sure you do tone. im sure you didnt sell thousands of bitcoins in december/january to FOMOing retards. im sure you didnt bud
is this the thread where BCashies damage control losing their app in Google store the same day they fall below 0.66, the worst showing since a year ago?
Because that shit's hilarious
normies with their shirt off is bearish for bitcoin
BITHCOIN CHASH
Holy fuck bitcoin core kikes are pathetic, put on a fucking shirt
The chinese cowboy segment of jerry springer was even worse.
youtube.com
It's really hard to know who to root against.
All three of these are the worst people in the space. Atleast Ver on boards corporations in the background by bribing them.
Anyone that says "the space" is quite bad Tbh
Tone Vays is objectively a fucking moron
I still think Tone's pretty good at TA. But he's so drunk on the core koolaide, he believes in the bitcoin standard, where banks hold your coins and settle transactions for you.
Jimmy Song is probably a good enough technologist to know how intellectually dishonest he is.
Roger Ver's heart is in the right place, but he's a gun pointed at his own foot in his mouth.
>where banks hold your coins and settle transactions for you.
that's not what he believes.
Layer 1 with high fees will be used by banks and institutions for settlement, layer 2 (LN) for ultrafast cash tx.
Yeah, banks are the layer 2 solution.
BTW, not much different than settling everything through custodial exchanges. You better fucking believe they're running a fractional reserve.
We need decentralized exchanges for price discovery and real world merchant adoption. Both of which Tone is against.
He's literally stated that institutional custody is more important than merchant adoption.
is tone a jew or italian?
he looks like shit
It is. If you want merchant adoption right now all it will do is devalue the coin because you will have immense sell pressure. Great if you don't care about the price.
But what makes bitcoin more valuable than just a payment system is that it's an asset. The robustness, decentralization and network effect of the protocol is what matters most for the moment.
I agree it was not stated in the white paper but the white paper isn't the bible and the community decided btc was better as digital gold for now.
>the community
ITYM the market. 10/10 post would read again anyway
in the future there will be a huge inevitable war though between those who want to remove the 21 M cap to add inflation and those who dont.
how much money does tone vays have?
and who named him that? wtf
This is why I hate founder worship and dogma. Banks run fractional reserves. That's their fucking job. Decreasing block rewards to reduce inflation is folly, if we have to revert back to a fractional reserve.
My hope always was that users can retain full custody of their funds while using the 2nd layer. But I'll wait to see what the consensus rules are for running a validator node. Plasma has very robust incentives to prevent any kind of fuckery.
I'll read your articles later.
Spend and replace brainlet
Okay, but it won't be your bitcoin once you give it to the banks. It will be a debt that you're owed and one they may not be able to pay.
WE ALREADY WENT THROUGH THIS SHIT WITH THE (((GOLD STANDARD)))!
I think he lost his checked luggage bag and no one would lend the creepy dude any clothes.
Fk man, Roger has his heart in the right place, he's the only non-scammer in crypto, but he comes off as a douche every time.
Gladly, the corekeks he's usually debating are behaving even worse.
A debate between Roger and Oy Veys, moderated by an employee of Vays. Nice-oh
That's what I've been doing for a few months now. Loving purse ;]
