History could theoretically make us learn our lessons, but let's be honest, it isn't like that anymore in the 21st century, most former enemies in Europe are now close allies and for the average person, it doesn't have much place in their lives at all. That doesn't make studying history a waste of time, however, it's still a entertaining hobby that may still leave you learning something valuable about your nation's past or other grander nations that led the world where it is today.

Funnily enough, my sister said the same thing 4 years ago, and now has vowed to learn more about our island's history (though she'll probably be disappointed at the lack of history thereof).

Architecture is the most important form of art, because buildings are always visible to thousands/millions of people, and typically last more than a human's lifespan. I watched it a long time ago so details got blurry for me, but I enjoyed it a lot user so sure watch it. Just know that it gets pretty dark espacially after episode 16. Anyway it's an important series to see, also don't forget to watch the End of Evangelion afterwards.
