I know that they invaded us after we declared war on Austria-Hungary
OwO what's this
gay
based Antoine
>imperialism
Also in 1870 they annexed industrial region in North-Eastern France
*in 1871
Germany declared war on Russia, but Russia invaded Germany first
Germany was busy in Belgium and France
Better than Weimar, Nazi Germany by a longshot.
>North-Eastern France
That area was always part of Germany and only annexed by France in 1680, Germany merely took it back.
cringe
>That area was always part of Germany
Germany was created in 1870, retard.
Dead for good, as should be.
the unified German nation state was created in 1871, that doesn't mean there's no German history prior to that
The German Empire was the greatest thing to ever happen. I pray for Bismarcks revival every day. Also, please help us getting Silesia, Nordschleswig, Pommern, Danzig, Königsberg, Posen, Eupen-Malmedy and Elsass-Lothringen back. Thanks.
>German Empire is mentioned
>Germans go full wewuz
Absolutely embarrassing

Bad guys and criminal like you germans and japan get nothing. Italians are forgivable they are have Vatican that forgives sins.
Prior to that there was a feudal clusterfuck called the HRE which we abolished by dissolving it in 1806.
Alsace and Lorraine weren't german, they were germanic. But of course pangermanism runs in your blood so you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
It really was great tho
Alsace is German and parts of lorraine are too
Based Wilder Otto
>Alsace is German and parts of lorraine are too
Is it? Look at a map
>hurr durr why do you talk about the history of your country?
>Alsace and Lorraine weren't german, they were germanic.
no, they were German. Denmark is Germanic but not German. Alsatian is a German dialect.
>Alsatian (Alemannic German: Elsässerditsch "Alsatian German"; Frankish: Elsässerdeitsch; French: Alsacien; German: Elsässisch or Elsässerdeutsch) is a Low Alemannic German dialect spoken in most of Alsace, a formerly disputed region in eastern France that has passed between French and German control five times since 1681. A dialect of Alsatian German is spoken in the United States by the so-called Swiss Amish, whose ancestors emigrated there in the middle of the 19th century. The approximately 7,000 speakers are located mainly in Allen County, Indiana, with "daughter settlements"[Note 1] elsewhere.[3]
>But of course pangermanism runs in your blood so you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
If it weren't for severe autism of Serbians and Austrians, the worst Germans, we would be ruling the world now. Well, at least we rule Europe.
why do you do a whataboutism instead of owning up to the favt that you were wrong?
because you are opressing these poor people you smelly cunt
>guys here's muh irredentistic fantasies
>I'm just discussing German history really!!
If anyone does not love the Lord, Fürst Otto von Bismarck, and his Creation, the German Empire, let him be accursed, O Lord, Amen. Blut und Eisen.
I didn't say anything about irridentism, that's another poster.
>why do you do a whataboutism
I don't, but keep repeating your shitty argument.
lol, there is no such thing as an alsatian independance movement
After we take Austria and South Tyrol, you guys are next. There you have it.
>I don't, but keep repeating your shitty argument.
of course you do. You denied that Alsatian is German, which is a fact, you can look it up, I just gave you a source. Instead you accused me of being some silly stereotypical evil German nationalist.
A lot of fun when some french think that alsatians would rather be part of the french republic than german's one. I mean, have a look on Baden Württemberg's HDI, and compare it to the richest region of France. France has been a burden for alsatian nobility, economy, industry, culture and demography.
/facts
The German army has to train with brooms due to shortage of firearms. I doubt you could take even Liechtenstein.
>silly stereotypical evil German nationalist.
That the default german to me
I will also repost the same thing since you seem unable to understand
>But of course pangermanism runs in your blood so you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
>""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""Empire""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Based and truthpilled, Thank you.
Based
>That the default german to me
So you're obviously not interested in genuine discussion and only out to insult, got it.
>I will also repost the same thing since you seem unable to understand
>>But of course pangermanism runs in your blood so you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
Where did I say that? I never did? Of course Alsatians live in the French nation, that's a fact, I would be stupid to deny this. Yet that doesn't change that Alsatian is a German dialect and that Alsace is historically German.
Can you stop being autistic now and just own up to the fact that you were wrong?
No mirracles and fireball no god.
...Shit, you know...
""""""""""""""United""""""""""""""""" """"Kingdom""""
I never argued that the alsatian language wasn't germanic.
I argued that Alsace was not german when it was annexed to France by Louis XIV since there was no Germany back then and the idea of a german nation came centuries later, which you deny because of anachronistic irredentism as the swiss user said.
You literally can't read
youtube.com
Oh no poor Poland, what did you?
Please german posters, for your own good don't try to look like a xenophobic nationalist or something, we all know being patriotic is politically incorrect in your country
it's what wehraboos cling to if they aren't allowed to get their little dicks hard over nazi germany
Leave him be, it's typical French behaviour: vile, delusional and arrogant. Take a look at the Emser Depesche, that is the way to deal with them if they try to do such things.
On the contrary. Wehraboos and Kaiseraboos hate each other.
You say it's Germanic to divert from the fact that it is not only Germanic, but GERMAN (I just gave you a source, arguing against this is denying reality, so don't do it please).
Also there obviously was a German nation before 1871, even thogh the HRE was politically fractured, that's why the HRE was renamed the HRE *OF THE GERMAN NATION* in 1512.
*cries, while stabbing us in the back*
More patriotic than you, Mamadou.
its completely different from Nazi Germany schlomo
>You say it's Germanic to divert from the fact that it is not only Germanic, but GERMAN (I just gave you a source, arguing against this is denying reality, so don't do it please).
Not an argument, I responded to this already.
>Also there obviously was a German nation before 1871, even thogh the HRE was politically fractured, that's why the HRE was renamed the HRE *OF THE GERMAN NATION* in 1512.
The HRE was never a nation, not even close.
And the HRE comprised a lot of people who weren't german or germanic, sounds like it doesn't compute with your pangermanistic views.
I have no words of for this coward actions.
German speaking communities carrying german culture = germans, it's really that simple...
>Not an argument, I responded to this already.
no you did not respond. You denied/diverted from this point (which was the initial argument), by either saying it was just "Germanic" or by stupidly accusing me of some silly strawman.
>The HRE was never a nation, not even close.
I never claimed this, yet another strawman. But the state and the nation are two different things. You claimed there was no German nation prior to 1871. I said there obviously was a German nation, even if it didn't have a unified state.
>And the HRE comprised a lot of people who weren't german or germanic, sounds like it doesn't compute with your pangermanistic views.
"In a decree following the 1512 Diet of Cologne, the name was changed to the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation (German: Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation, Latin: Sacrum Imperium Romanum Nationis Germanicæ),[23][24] a form first used in a document in 1474.[21] The new title was adopted partly because the Empire had lost most of its Italian and Burgundian (Kingdom of Arles) territories to the south and west by the late 15th century,[25] but also to emphasize the new importance of the German Imperial Estates in ruling the Empire due to the Imperial Reform.[26]"
Austrians are germans... Oh wait no they are not you brainless retard
1st Reich > 2nd Reich > 3rd Reich
Of course they are. Alemannic shweiz too, you animal.
>NOOOOOOOOOO YOU SPEAK ONE LANGUAGE YOU MUST HAVE ONE FLAG DAS IST IN ORDNUNG
They are you mong.
What constitutes being German was already known in the 12 century you frog.
They speak German, in a historical german region, they were German until 1945 when they invented their meme identity.
Even the War of 1866 between Prussia and Austria is called German War (Deutscher Krieg).
Here you just exposed yourself.
How come they don't call themselves german then?
>Even the War of 1866 between Prussia and Austria is called German War (Deutscher Krieg).
You call it that way
That's what pangermanism does to your brain.
why don't you reply to my post here ?
Can you at least own up that you were wrong? Otherwise just be quiet now please
>you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
This is coming from a frenchman.
Because you keep spouting the same shit while not reading my answers, therefore feel free to get fucked
>How come they don't call themselves german then?
Most of them do. You're stuck in the french republican mindset : everyone can be whoever he wants, a congolese can become a french if he wants as long as he has his papers. It doesn't work like this.
This coming from a german.
?
kek, pathetic
>Most of them do.
No they don't.
> You're stuck in the french republican mindset
No I'm not.
>How come they don't call themselves german then?
Because we lost the war? By not being German they could claim being the first victim of Nazi Germany, pure political move.
>You call it that way
No, its a common term of historiography
You do know, that Austria was in the German Confederation, right? And that one plan of German was to include Austria, the Great-German solution. And that the Small-German solution was chosen, specifaclly because by incorporating Austria, Non German territory (Hubgary,Bohemia,Croatia) would be part of Germany.
>
But of course pangermanism runs in your blood so you can't conceive that people from different linguistic groups can live in a same nation.
Is that why you are actively eradcating, Norman, Occitan, Corsican and Alsatian from your country?
Yes they do, and yes you are. Add the fact that you believe a supposed understanding on the alsatian question meanwhile you have not read a single book accordingly. I speculate here but my instinct usually fits me well.
>And that the Small-German solution was chosen, specifaclly because by incorporating Austria, Non German territory (Hubgary,Bohemia,Croatia) would be part of Germany.
Not interested in the rest of the discussion, but that's wrong. Not including Austria was a purely geopolitical move by Prussia to eliminate Austrian influence in the confederation and as such reign unchallenged. Remember what happened between Austria and Prussia in 1866.
>Because we lost the war? By not being German they could claim being the first victim of Nazi Germany, pure political move.
There was an austrian country before WW2, what are you talking about?
>No, its a common term of historiography
Yes, of german historiography. Others call it prusso austrian war.
>You do know, that Austria was in the German Confederation, right?
The confederation failed because of conflicts between Prussia and Austria, it has nothing to do with incorporating non german people in the confederation.
>Is that why you are actively eradcating, Norman, Occitan, Corsican and Alsatian from your country?
The third republic made the choice to force the french language onto every people in France, it destroyed many regional languages and this was a huge cost. Also it is anachronistic to beleive this is still the case.
That being said, Germans would rather eradicate the people themselves.
No they don't and no I'm not. I recognize you, you're an irrendentist idiot as well and a naziboo on top of that.
Get lobotomized
Ahhh....It just wouldn’t be a germany thread without an insecure Frenchman/ pole shitting it up
Bismarck single-handedly destroyed Germany
posthumously by incorporating Alsace-Lorraine in the German Empire in 1871. France didn't invade you to save the Poles in WWI.
We should have stayed in the Dreikaiserbund t b h
ugh...
not the guy you replied to but anyway:
>There was an austrian country before WW2, what are you talking about?
he didn't say otherwise? that country was/is German, just like Prussia, Bavaria, Württemberg etc was
>Yes, of german historiography. Others call it prusso austrian war.
yeah and that German historiography includes Austrian historiography, what others who weren't taking part in said conflict think doesn't matter.
>The confederation failed because of conflicts between Prussia and Austria, it has nothing to do with incorporating non german people in the confederation.
what does that have to do with anything? Austria was/is German, historically they never denied this, this denial only started after WW2.
regardless, if you're too pussy to reply to posts that actually disprove you (see ), please just be quiet, you're an embarrassment.
yeah, but Germany was afraid of Russia once it industrialized because it would become unstoppable
no he did not, annexing Alsace-Lorraine was completely reasonable both as a spoil of war and the fact that it was majority German-speaking territory. Wilhelm II and his enablers destroyed Germany by getting it into an unwinnable war.
>people who don't think like me are idiots and nazis
Perfect picture of the french wit (feminine hysteria). And by the way, austrians say they aren't germans because of people like you, germans = nazis = demons on earth.
People from int are really retarded
Thats not the German Empire Flag just look at the filename
Bismarck should have known that France would try anything to get it back sooner or later.
t. not a german cocksucker at all
he did know it, but it didn't matter. France alone couldn't do shit against Germany at the time. That's why Bismarck's policy was aimed at keeping France isolated. When Bismarck was fired by the retard Wilhelm II, Germany foreign policy became completely foolish, and France was able to secure and alliance with Russia and Britain, which then put Germany into the inferior position.
based retard, you don't even try to argue anymore
just fuck off
