You can't hack a Trezor. That one guy did because he had physical access. Now, you can't even hack one.

always memorize your primary seed. its not that hard. two words before bed. can be done in less then a month
yea i know i'm basically fucked. i've tried to contact Saleem and the Wired guy who wrote the article even tried to connect us on twitter, but he hasn't responded thus far.
even if he does, like you all say, they've likely fixed the vulnerability he had exploited.
as for how i managed to do it, it might have been my god damned wife, but it might have been me. we're still not 100% sure it's lost, it might just be hiding in our apartment somewhere.
the short lesson here is, never ever ever fucking write two separate recovery tools on a single piece of paper you complete imbecile *lights self on fire and jumps off bridge*
the three paper method is good, separate your 24 seed into three sets of 8 then one one piece of paper have the first two sets, then on another piece put the 2nd and 3rd set, then on the third piece of paper put the first and last set that way you have it split over three pieces of paper but you only need 2/3 to recover it, but seriously give up lad you'll just look like an idiot and it cannot be done how much money did you lose anyway?
I lost 7x zec and 1.5eth not the end of the world but it took about 10 months to farm that
Contact Trezor. There is a bug in firmwares below 1.6.0 (or 1.6.1 I don't remember) that allows them to access your funds. I read on reddit that they offered this service to someone if he could provide proof that it is his wallet. Good luck!
