I make 6 figures and don't give my kids shit. They're getting a job at 16 if they want a car. I won't kick them out of the house after they graduate, but they sure as hell will have to buy/rent their own place if they want to leave.

This. My son is 4 months old and this is the normal route. If you give them too much when they are young they derail. Proof: most of the people I knoe that grew up with parents that gave them everything now are failures because life hit em hard lol
