Yeah I really liked the Carolinas. One of my early memories is going to some island in SC with nice beaches. When we got there I was so happy to see a beach in the backyard that I ran out and jumped in without even getting my swimsuit on. I think that was Harbor Island. Went to NC later as a teenager.

Sounds similar to what we do in Maryland. We steam the crabs and pluck the meat out of the shell at the table, and dip it in either butter, apple cider vinegar, and/or Old Bay seasoning. There's usually a lot of beer served with it too. It's a mess but a lot of fun.
