is it possible for a culture or nation to have ptsd?
if there is, i would say russia is definitely one of those nations to suffer from it.
moscow in the 60s wouldn't be that great. sure there would be some interesting stuff going on, but it would still be a lot of gaping wounds that had not yet healed from the war.
I get killed by KGB almost immediately because I’m in enemy territory
I kill myself
go back to sleep
Sell my western clothes and live like a king for 2 weeks
Life under communism seemed comfy actually. As long as you didn't revolt or protest against the government you'd be fine. Just don't be some gay protesting autist
i'd leave my bed, put my shoes and jacket then i'll go downstairs scouting for some russian ethnic qts living in my commieblock, then i'd go get some coffee and a newspaper to find a job
its disappointing they never build this
I don't think they'd have coffee, bro. Food shortages and all that.
Where is my grandpa, I will drink with him.
get me some natashas
I make my getaway with slavic qties in a romantic escape from modor and find salvation elsewhere.
I spy on the reds and work to undermine their nation :^)
It wasn't really that comfy. Everyone did have money but nothing to spend it on. There was always a lack of everyday essentials and people ate meat just few times a month. It must have been even worse in other republics
t. estonian
Sustinance living while rulers lived like Kings is not good, I am not going to give my life away slaving away for slave food wages with no future.
That's preferable to having millions of unemployed, homeless, starving people in the west
>help! heeelp!! we're oppressed!! we're not allowed to be gay!!
it was a no homo kiss
Do you think Balts would have been more accepting of communism if they had been allowed to remain independent, rather than being annexed by the USSR?
>Do you think Balts would have been more accepting of communism if they had been allowed to remain independent, rather than being annexed by the USSR?
No, they would never desire for a group of tax collecting oligarchs to decide their wages and lives.
>and people ate meat just few times a month
"independent" Like the warsaw pact countries? Anyway most people were "accepting of communism" because that's just how it was
Shut up autist
Some soviet food were indeed god tier. I heard a lot of boomers loved the candies and especially ice cream. I'm too young to remember since I was born 1989
>tax collecting oligarcs
All governaments like this
>people who aren't me are starving
>people who aren't even my race
>people who aren't even my nationality
>people who brought themselves here in the first place just to steal from my country
B'AWWWWWWW WHY CAN'T WE BE RUSSIA I SUFFER SO MUCH
you could have observed how it was bound to collapse
>As I have observed myself, many peasants find someone else's success more painful than their own failure. In general, when the average Russian sees that he is living less well than his neighbor, he will concentrate not on trying to do better for himself but rather on trying to bring his neighbor down to his own level. My reasoning may seem naive to some people, but I have been able to observe scores of examples in both village and town, and I see in this one of the typical traits of the Russian psyche.
