I've done both desu, went to Alaska not long ago and have hiked and visited a few places Australia. Don't get me wrong Australia is beautiful no shit. But America (to me at least) is a whole different ballpark. Australia is also one of the flatest countries in the world and one of the largest. I guess it also just depends on what you personally find beautiful. For me it's huge snowy mountains and tall spruce/pine trees.
