DJT is a Japanese language 勉強スレ for 野獣 interested in the language, anime, manga, visual novels, light novels and Japanese video games. Japanese speakers learning English are welcome, too.
Thanks. And could you talk about what you got today as well?
Jordan Howard
It is a phonetic component that gives the character it's on-yomi.
In Japanese and in modern Chinese languages they have all shifted in pronunciation and are read differently, but historically 楽 (がく music or らく joyful), 薬 (やく), and 轢 (れき) were all related.
In Old Chinese: 樂 ŋraːwG (music), raːwG (joyful) 藥 lawG 轢 raːwG
In Cantonese (which is more conservative in pronunciation than standard Mandarin): 樂 ngok (music), lok (joyful) 藥 joek 轢 lik
Now only the final -k (represented by く or き in the Japanese readings) is shared between all three, but as you trace the pronunciation back in time you can see them become more and more similar.
No one can read ancient texts. I hear that the Greek language has a big gap between written language and spoken language, hue

Please pay attention to "のたまう". In modern conversation, “のたまう” is a word for blawl, hue

That is the classical spelling. All the u-verbs ending in う used to have a ふ ending in classical Japanese. 言う 言ふ, 思う 思ふ, 買う 買ふ. But when you are reading classical Japanese with modern pronunciation you read はひふへほ as わいうえお except at the beginning of a word. This is why it's 思わない (思はない) instead of 思あない, 言われる (言はれる) instead of 言あれる, etc. in modern Japanese. You conjugate the ふ-ending verbs with the h- row just like any other u-verb: 言はない, 言ひます, 言ふ, 言ふこと, 言へば, 言へ So 宣ふ would become 宣ひます if you tried to add ます to it. The modern spelling would be 宣います but it's pronounced exactly the same.
The NEETs, the virgins, the late transitioners, the funposters, the porn addicts, the autists, the cucks, the pedophiles, the misogynists, the spammers, the racists, the hapas, the radical feminists, the furries, the hideously ugly, the retarded, the bereaved, the scat fetishists, the gay men who hate hook ups, the jilted and recently divorced. This is for the homeless, the directionless, the loveless, the jobless.
This is for everybody who's ever hated everybody. This is for the people who can't imagine being alive in three years. This is for the folks who always felt alone. This is for those who will leave nothing behind.
I'm not here to tell you things will get better. I'm not here to tell you you have potential. I'm here to tell you that you matter.
Even though we never met, we all suffered. For many of us life was hell. We cried and we hid it. We were lonely and friendless in a world of lonely, friendless people, and we met nobody.
It's fucking sad. I really wish it wasn't like this. I wish people didn't have friends or enemies, and everybody was kind to everybody. I wish I changed and I wish all of you changed. I wish I found another person like myself and made them happy.
But I didn't. I won't. I've given up, like many of you have given up. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry because nobody deserves to suffer the way I suffered, and I couldn't save anyone. I barely tried.
You don't have to be funny, or intelligent, or kind. Suffering is enough. Everybody suffers so everybody is important. Don't spit on that and don't sneer. This is brotherhood between men and the grace of God. This is the noblest thing in the universe.
I accept all of you. I love all of you
Thank you for living. I'm glad you were here with me.

Can someone illuminate me - what the hell is the difference between "Daily Japanese Thread" and "Japanese Thread"? Both of them are always up at the same time, so the seem to serve different purposes. Or is it just because they correspond to different cliques of people who like to stay separate?
Also, just because you are netouyo doesn't mean you are mentally ill.

So which thread should I go to if I want to talk about japanese/east asian politics and make Corean themed troll posts (about Dokdo, jjokbari etc.)?

Another mentally ill shitposter, you'll fit right in over there.

Daily Japanese Thread (DJT) is a great thread where is aimed at people learning Japanese and Japanese learning English. Japanese thread(s) are a shithole filled with mean and pathetic Japanese natives with serious brain problems. on the top of that, Japanese thread(s) have been split into two for a few reasons please don't ask me why because I have no idea either. I've not been visiting the Japanese threads for a long time anymore.
All I am is living in your head rent free, either go to a doctor or neck yourself for the betterment of the human race.

Are you a native Japanese or a Davido-kun?

I've started learning it recently. I'm finally comfortable with kana so i come here every day because it feels good to look at japanese texts that i can finally understand and also i might learn something new by lurking here. It would be very rude tho if i didn't say hello to fellow anons when i arrive. And it's usually night when i do.. so yeah..
I see. thanks for answering! if you have any questions about Japanese, don't hesitate to ask us anything. I hope your Japanese learning will go well, Keep it up Hungary user!
Actually I remember seeing いいわよ regularly, whereas the male equivalent is most certainly いいだよ. I guess this is either an exception or different as a set phrase.
