Where I work, I sometimes get to sing for customers on their birthdays. It's always fun to see them get excited if it's a little kid, or to sing really loud to the whole restaurant, and embarrass teenagers.

Tipping is so retarded its not even funny. I mean you're right. A waiter isn't any different from any other job. You provide a simple service of writing down what you say and then carrying food to you.
I don't give a fuck if they smile or im not even sure what else good service would be. Not fucking it up?
Being treated as a superior is awkward as fuck anyway i'd much rather have a casual chat while they do it.
Also its putting paying the wages onto the customers guilt. For some random cog that needs to be there for a restaurant to work.
Also if its a slow day do they just hardly get paid? So the entire risk of the business is born by the fucking waiters.
