BTC Espionage

The company I work for got hit by a ransomware attack. They're holding one of our servers hostage and asking for $5k in BTC. Our IT guy doesn't know what to do, he cant simply erase the server since all of our records and data since 2015 are on that drive

What do Jow Forums? Do we pay these chink hackers the ransom? Is there a way to decrypt the ransomware?

or ask them to pay in sime shitcoin that will be dumped soon after

come to think of it this is a great opportunity op
tell the company they have to pay
send btc to your own wallet
tell them the chinks demand more btc
send the btc to your own wallet
keep doing this until the company decides to fuck it and formats the hdd.

also what you can do to make this legit is either edit a screenshot that shows your wallet address, or hit the ransomware with a debugger and find the string in memory and replace with your own that way the live malware will demand btc sent to your wallet.

>inb4 you fags pay the ransom and get trollfaced

use the money for HR, your IT guy clearly is shit. the data is lost.

i just have one question, is the server a windows server? if yes. LOL winblows.

I remember my brother was triying to get some keyloggers, passwords and real credit cards over TOR once.
The retard got our computer highjacked. I'm glad we had nothing of value there, but what a fucking retard he was
