For the simple reason that the correctness of a position does not change according to the deeds of one who follows it, or at the very least claims to do so.
The flat-earth society could use it funds to build housing for homeless people and schools for orphans, and they would still be not even slightly more correct. And, in the same way, my issue with nazis would not be the deeds of the historic NSDAP (or the parties in other countries), but that they are completely wrong.
