This board seems to be getting some structure to it now. I’m starting to see generals popping up and I feel like everything is normalising after the Crypto gold rush. My question is what kind of generals do you want to see on this board? We already have /smg/ (Stock market), would it makes sense to get a /tg/ (Tax) or a /sig/ (Self Improvent) or maybe generals on cheap living etc? Curious to see what interests and ideas people have for bettering this board.

They seem to have dropped off. I occasionally see threads with that theme pop up, I think it would be valuable to have a general back.

there's no point in making this place a worse betterliving / investopedia / any of the thousands of online communities about traditional finance and investment. Jow Forums simply isn't structured for, well, structure. stop being a prima donna and use the proper tools for a given task

I would make /Trading/ generals for non-crypto markets, where charts and strategies would be reviewed.

I've been here since late 2016 (when those did occur more frequently), and have also looked through the archives for threads of that nature, through Jow Forums's past.

It's hard to do it because people will use those threads as outlets for their own incapability to Trade discretionarily, and as a place to criticize the Technical Analysis shared (there are true criticisms for TA, but it "not working" is not one of them, and is very simplistic). Equally annoying is the constant request to know "how to get started", where people are seemingly incapable of taking any sort of personal initiative, and wish to be spoonfed.

I love discretionary trading, and wish there were other places to discuss it besides Reddit, but I just can't handle being treated by people like that. I thought I could, and call me soft, but it really fucking irritates me, to the point where I don't bother.

I now try to primarily share screenshots of trades which ended up as losers, in the odd Forex thread which shows up on here, every ow and then. Losing trades are very important to analyse, which is why I share them, and they expose people to the realities of Trading.
