>Young men need responsibility and hardship to be happy. Trust me, I've taken so many antidepressants I ODed. I know the true route to fulfillment.
Work to be of more value for yourself faggot. It doesnt matter who you work for, that is Jow Forums neet self hate meme.
He has a good message sometimes. Doesn't touch economics or ai though, so fuck that guy.
Convincing argument, thanks just sold 100k
>take on more responsibilities user, ask your boss for more tasks
>you will value yourself more
>your life will have meaning, trust me
I don't think so. IMO he's just trying to tell young adults which never had a real father figure how to get their shit together and take responsibility. You may object to his positions but I think he's a the very least a very valuable and sensible voice in sociological discourse.
For instance the nazis beeing driven by disgust instead of hate sounds like a very interesting hypothesis to me.
Taking on tasks at work doesnt give your life meaning and shouldnt be the thing that makes you happy or fulfilled. If it is youre doing life wrong.
Peterson clearly states that
more responsibilities = more meaning
JP Morgan is a nice man, but this psychoanalysis shit speculating on 'Golden Bough' insights, idk...
he's an idiot trying to sound really smart
Well he's a tryhard Canadian dork, he doesnt know what makes someone happy
He's anti-happiness too

level 1 - Peterson is genius I have no critical thought in my head
level 2 - I dont really understand him so i think he is an idiot trying to sound smart
level 3 - he has some great pants he is of good value to people who need it
Theres sometging suspicious with the carnivore thing as well after i saw resident cia niggas tone vays and Michael goldstein shilling carnivore.

Is there a meat surplus or carbohydrate shortage
When someone is tossing a word salad you're not supposed to understand him
Im pretty sure he was just referencing hitler in particular, but makes sense.
he wont bring anything of value, stop being a fanboy please.
you should listen carefully and not have 10 tabs open and watch jap porn, the guy is a breath of fresh air in a sea of snake oil salesman, u dont have to agree with him on ANYTHING to realize he is of value to this world
His message is for an upper strata of society.
Even all his anecdotes are like this lawyer or that lawyer
You mean lower strata of unemployed males.
He nuked himself intellectually on the first podcast with Sam Harris.
I felt for the Peterson wave a while back, listening the lectures as I commuted.
I could write a whole pasta but what what threw me off the most what how as vouched for circumcision of kiddos in his biblical series.
Mostly I went it for the memes, stayed for the psychology lecture (quite entertaining and made me feel big brained), only to eventually being betrayed where it hurts the most.
I learned a few things on psychology, and I got to listen what someone skilled in debate argues like.
But I ranted a few times also when he talks about technology because he says bullshits with the same conviction as when he talks about psychology. Rage quitted when he says there's nothing wrong in cutting infants dicks, and that's a sacrifice and that's a good thing.
I guess I kinda wrote a pasta.
Some economics toward the end of the psychology class.
Some comments about AI from time to time, but he have no idea what he's talking about.
I recall him saying he wants to use machine learning to make a website that takes a syllabus and classifies whether it's leftist propaganda or not.
>Listening to life advice from someone who kept suffering from clinical depression
This is like listening to advice on how to make money given by someone on welfare.
Sour grapes.
Like how poor people say money wouldn't make them any happier.
He's a fucking con man piece of shit regurgitator. Only newfags like him.
hes a shill that mixes basic-bitch tier self-help shit with gobbledeegook nonsense. hes also a liar and a weasel who preaches freedom of speech but then deplatforms people for interviewing the "wrong" people with dangerous ideas. always remember goyim, collectivism is a no no for you, only non whites are allowed to organize and act in their self interest.
The problem is capitalism.
This. Jordan is a kike shill rat.
He hates the "alt right" so no
His shilling for kikes is off-putting.
Alt-right venerates him due to his outspoken anti-SJW stance
This is the main reason I never listen to this faggot. He is clearly depressed as fuck. You can see it in his eyes in every fucking interview, video and photo of the man. He looks like he is permanently one bad day away from a suicide.
Why the fuck should I listen to live advice from a man like this?
I won't disagree with your that he look depressed, and he's also short sighted on an array of things.
But to answer your questions - it's valuable to listen to elderly men who sat down in their lives and thought about things. The point is to listen to their conclusion and reflect on it, not to simply take advice from an old guy. The point is that one indivisual himself (e.g. you) doesn't have the capacities to think from many peoples perspectives and that's why one ought to consume contemporary literature (or, in our social media world, youtube videos with the same content)
Yeah imagine wanting to be of more value.
>If I take death into my life, acknowledge it, and face it squarely, I will free myself from the anxiety of death and the pettiness of life - and only then will I be free to become myself.
That’s a pretty retarded reason not to listen to someone user, I don’t even like Jordan Peterson.
As if I want to get advice from a happy go lucky dumb fuck. Life is pain.
He is a self help guru. If he can't help himself, why does he think he can help me.
Besides I don't need someone to give me advice in life in the first place. But if I did, the Peterson meme would be the last person I seek advice from.
I am glad you saw the error of your ways.
Contemporary media is oversaturated because the regurgitated filth tries to drown out the original. If I wanted to listen to Peterson's ideas I would just read the books Peterson read that gave him those ideas.
But even if I was to consume contemporary media, there are so many better options on hand.
I emphasized contemporary because I don't think you can get the same content by reading the thinkers sources. Peterson (or any contemporary thinker, this isn't about him in particular) had the chance to reflect on those books content in the modern context (from American paranoia past 9/100, over European migration scenarios, to a rising East all around the world, and then to machine learning, crypto currencies even, etc. etc.). Jung or Nietzsche living 50+ years ago may have insight to base human ideas, but to not be outdated you want a contemporary spin. Hell, even watching Adam Curtis meme movies will give you some food for thought that goes beyond that. And it's not about agreeing with him - even indulging with the Vampire Castle a bit will help going forward.
this stupid shill got me a raise
>I am glad you saw the error of your ways.
The 3/5 I'd do it anyway if I knew from the start.
There's some useful "ready to use" arguments I can threw back when the annoying leftist coworker goes on with her bullshit. I also got to know about "the gulag archipelago" and some leads for interesting Wikipedia reads about behavior psychology.
The draw back is how he keeps changing the definition of words when religion is involved and how comfortable he is about talking about things he don't know and how fast he is to be smug when someone not knowledgeable about psychology mentions it. "I'm an expert in this field" he likes to mentions. He also extrapolate the hell out of some examples, sophist style. Begin with why you feel like oversleeping and you'll end up on how the Soviet brought the gulags onto them by being deceiving and not cleaning their rooms.
Worst was the double standards about circumcision and how "it's OK when WE do it" he gets about it.
But for entertainment purposes, it is kinda worth it. He's like that charismatic uncle who always tell the same story but you don't mind chilling and listening to him.
He's only hated here cause he's popular. Yes he's not perfect. Yes he has stupid opinions just like I'm sure we all have but honestly he's just hated here cause he's popular right now. That's the way Jow Forums is whether it's about political ideologies or movies, people will always be contrarian here.
t. jordan peterson
What are you talking about? The alt-right hates jp, and they dont hate SJWs that much really.
You're grossly simplifying what he says.
Tell me what are "kosher" ways of taking responsibility user.
>Doesn't touch economics or ai though,
He's a behavioral psychologist not a fucking economist
Peterson is a Zionist piece of shit. He sure gets a lot of media exposure for a college professor.
Read "a letter to Garcia" if you want to know what a real corporate shill looks like.
Yes. Sounds about right
Clean up your room boys and mommy will reward you.
Unironically what did he mean by this?
i might not be rich like JP but at least I dont have to dress in drag for my kike masters
>He's a behavioral psychologist not a fucking economist
I don't care. It doesn't matter how clean your room is if the economy is rigged against everyone. Main concern, he never brings it up.
He wants young men to have better lives without assuming they have what it takes to be investors/business owners right from the get-go. So he shills them hard work and taking responsibility because that works in every trade and every job. His conclusion is:
>become a family man
>mow your lawn
>stoic it up because such responsibilities come with a lot of trouble
>eat your beef and clean your room user
His daughter is cute AF
I’d eat her beef all day long
>degenerate celebrity child name
>nose piercing
Checked and this
Exactly. He literally argues that society is mainly based on a hierarchy of competence, which it’s clear that it’s not. Society is based from accumulated generational wealth, along with the economic policies on the national, state and local level that affect every industry. Academia and tenure is probably based off competence but not society.

So you're telling me your average McDs NPC is as productive and intelligent as Elon Musk?
That’s a general statement. Suck a dick fanboy
>it's valuable to listen to elderly men who sat down in their lives and thought about things.
I think the average autist has done 20x the thinking of the average person their age.
Average McDs NPC wasn't born in rich family with top tier education opportunities.
The picture is obviously complicated and statements like "all poor people are stupid" and "all wealthy people got their money from dad" are invalid.
