Long ago, I was on vacation with my family. We were walking on a beach, I was 11yo. I saw this weird looking candle, together with some other stuff (which were bones, flowers, a bottle of alcohol.) Today I know that those were stuff used in some ritual as an offering, but whatever. I was young and dumb, so I just saw that weird looking candle and decided to take a closer look.
The moment I've picked that candle up, I felt this rush of energy going through my body. The best way that I can describe is that, it was like I accidentally killed a puppy or something. I felt that something was very, very wrong.
I immediately drop the candle, kicked some of the stuff, and ran back to my parents.
Well, ever since that happened, I feel that my life changed. I began to see shadow people, was intensely haunted by them every few weeks. This continued for 3 years or so. I couldn't take it anymore so I began to research into the occult, and did every banishing/cleansing ritual I could find. This worked, nothing paranormal happened to me for quite some time.
Then It all came back 4 years ago. I began to have nightmares of me picking that candle up, and disfigured being choking me, then I would wake up in sleep paralysis while something would whisper things into my ear.
This never really stopped. I am now 27yo and this keeps happening from time to time. Idk what those entities want, I don't know what to do, I just want to live a normal life.
My aunt is into esoteric stuff so she tried her best to help me, but nothing works. A friend of hers which supposedly can read auras told me that I'm cursed and refused to say anything else.
So, idk. My only lead is that this happened in Louisiana, and a lot of people out there are into african black magic stuff. Maybe I'm missing something or not doing the right banishings, idk. I just want this to stop.
