because of nippon steel folded 731 times

because Japan makes extremely reliable cars and we drive a lot.

What sort of a stupid metric is search volume

Show me a map of most registered brand per state

Japanese cars are based

American cars are union run and not reliable or well engineered anymore, at least not compared to nippon

That being said katanas are inferior to any Euro sword. Let's not even mention the whole industrial revolution thing

This. Same goes for other kinds of vehicles, too. I recently bought a Japanese motorbike in the United States, and it's way better than the last piece of shit I owned.

american "bikes" are boomer davidson and that's it

because US cars are shit. Typically gas guzzlers that have severe diminishing returns after 2 years.

The ford focus (european) isn't bad, it's nippon tier reliable

Do Americans really do this?

yes. fuck californians

It's not because of being californian, it's because hes driving a hybrid.

I don’t praise our car but is there any other choice than Japanese or German cars?

Because Toyota Camry's are cheap and reliable

>ford f150 not listed
Meme list

Germans are automobile jews that make their cars unnecessarily shitty so you have to buy expensive replacement parts which they also own

its surprize that subaru is popular in the US.

arigato~.

We always knew German cars as really sturdy and reliable.

This changed after 2010

I wouldn’t be surprised because of Germany’s diesel engine scandal.

Its is in category of trucks.

Here is full list of best selling cars :

Japanese cars are great, desu. Cheaper, reliable, perform well, ample amount of parts, every mechanic knows how to handle them, etc. etc. etc.
Also, the 1996 Skyline GTR is a gift from the heavens.

Cars don't get much better than this.

as others have said, they are usually the best bang for your buck when going from point A to point B
my 2011 toyota camry LE is based

thank you for your work

My parents only get mazdas because a relative works at the dealership and they get a discount. They are pretty nice although my dad wants an f150 eventually

Japan is destroying the American automobile industry by sneaky dumping. Trump should put more pressure on Japan.

> Trump should put more pressure on Japan.

No he shouldnt.

German cars for US market are made in Mexico.

Cringe
That wouldn't work anyway. Due to all the Japan bashing, tariffs and quotas in the 80s, Japanese automakers have a lot of US factories.
It's GM, Ford and FCA, with their cars mostly built in Mexico and Canada, would be hit hardest by protectionist measures.

Japan makes based cars. I decided if I decide to get a new car it will he japanese. Either a Toyota 86, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Subaru WRX, or Toyota Tacoma.

they make the best cars. i would never drive an american car. they cant even do more sensible stuff like proper aircraft

I literally never heard from Polish owners of Japanese cars any complaining about them . You are doing your job incredible well.

The largest items exported from Japan to the United States are cars and auto parts.
1.7 million finished cars and parts exports to American factories are destroying the US economy.
The United States can prevent devil invasion by imposing high tariffs on them.

Because Detroit built horse shit for decades and consumers lost trust in American brands.

All that's remaining for the American car industry are pickup trucks and to some degree SUVs, and even those only thanks to favorable legislation that makes them cheaper to build and sell.

Indian made a surprisingly solid return in Polaris' hands, though I can't see Indian appealing to anyone other than boomers either, and the younger Victory brand died as quickly as it appeared. Might've made a good brand for electric motorcycles.

I have a question about cars produced by General Motors : why their cars are considered as one of the worst quality cars even compared to other cars produced in USA ?

>our patriotic duty
Patriotic duty is what made Detroit lazy in the first place.

we call GMCs Got Mechanic Coming because they are so shit

But dont isnt patriotic duty reason why French are buying French cars , Italians are buying Italian cars , Germans are buying German cars , Koreans are buying Koreans cars and Japanese are buying Japanese cars ?

One of the things that Henry Ford emphasized when he oversaw production of the Model T (the car that's the reason why cars dominate our lives today) was that anyone could maintain and repair it themselves (Model Ts only had 1,400 parts each and could be entirely disassembled with a screwdriver). He was a tinkerer and approached cars from the perspective that taking them apart was enjoyable, and this legacy lived on within the company and the US auto industry as a whole. The problem is, the vast majority of people don't want to bother with fixing their car, so when Asian cars came on the scene, which lasted longer and didn't require as much fuss as American cars, most people switched. It was noble of Henry Ford to assume that everyone was like him with the whole hard-working self-reliance thing, but sadly he was wrong.

tl;dr:
>US car makers: "It's okay if the car breaks. People will be more than happy to learn everything about their car and be more than capable of fixing it themselves."
>Jap car makers: "It's not okay if the car breaks. Most humans are lazy and ignorant and won't want to bother with it, so let's make the most well-made car possible to avoid it."

GM is more hostile lol they basically run ads telling people real Americans only drive their cars and lie about how their shit is American made despite GM being more outsourced than Toyota in the US.

I'm not gonna look up every country, but German brands have slightly less of a market share in Germany (42%) as Americans brands do in the USA (47%). We do by all means not only buy German cars.

Muscle and sport cars are still engineered better than jap cars

>General Motors : why their cars are considered as one of the worst quality cars even compared to other cars produced in USA ?

It can be traced back all the way to its founding and its mastermind: William Durant. As opposed to Henry Ford (a tinkerer/mechanic), which took a utilitarian approach to cars, Durant (a salesman) and GM emphasized car style/looking good in your car. This form over function approach continues at GM to this day, with snazzy looking vehicles on the surface, and everything underneath taking a back seat.

I don't think Henry Ford's principle even held true for any manufacturer anymore as early as after the war, and certainly not today. Nowadays American cars are just as unservicable as other brands, and GM in particular always seem to come up with the dumbest technical implementations.

fuck cagers

thanks for your service

Well, yes. GM began to overtake Ford in the 1920s because people wanted trendy, good-looking cars instead of reliable, functional cars, and after Henry Ford was forced to retire in 1945, many of the more idealistic elements within Ford Motor Company were removed along with him.

This also.

Because they love Japan.
And we love them.

I like the little country of origin stickers on cars. Very interesting truth bombs. Some Jap brand cars are technically more American than Japanese.
