I've studied abroad, moved away for uni, went back for a little while after uni thinking I'd 'matured' and realised people literally lived for the weekend in our shitty satellite town and did the same 'go out, drink at the pub, get same shit takeaway' on repeat.

When I just graduated uni I thought I was fine in my satellite town driving to my office job.

Since moving away I felt reinvigorated and know actually I cope much better in a busy, bustling city etc where higher paced jobs are available.

I get what you're saying but I think there is a balance to be struck and it's better to try, completely fuck it up in your 20s than wonder what if in your late 30s and not be able to fully commit.
