Saving Money

So how much do you guys actually save?

Attached: 1523790425474.jpg (332x443, 13K)

And from what you actually save, how much do you place in investments and the like?

You don't plan on living paycheck-to-paycheck forever right?

Around 80% of my salary. All of it is invested in some way, even if just into low percentage savings account. I keep very little money on my spending account.

Every penny i have is saved in chainlink not even memeing.
Every paycheck i calculate how much i need to survive (food, gas, bills) the rest goes into bagholding more stinkies

same here user. brighter days are ahead

40% rent, 40% food, 10% travel and visa expenses, 10% savings. This is what happens when you live in hotels and have no access to a kitchen.

i save about 60% of my after tax income

Thats going to hurt if things don't work out

35% after tax as a minimum. Occasionally more, as I have about 20% not earmarked for anything. If I have any money left at the end of the month I toss it into savings.

Currently about 68% of my income. I'm aiming for 70% but it's rather difficult to cut that last 2%.

You are
a
MANIAC

Save about 80-90% of what I make

>10% in crypto
>15% in some safe stocks
Where should I keep my long term savings though?

I've saved $50,000 in the past two years. I live with my parents and just pay student loans and about $500 in personal expenses. I pay the utilities for them, which is still far cheaper than rent.

>Roughly 4000/month after tax income
>Minus $1600 into mortgage payments because I fell for the (((homeowner meme)))
>Minus $100 for my monthly train pass
>Wife pays for pretty much everything else, which comes out to about as much as I pay for the house

Everything else goes to my 401K and stock index funds. 57%. If I cheat and count the equity I'm gaining in my house, it's higher.

In investments.

I keep 3 months of expenses in the highest APY Savings I could find. Everything else goes into a Roth IRA, Crypto, and my brokerage. Mostly in growth ETFs.

in your pants user

yeah but who knows

Is it safe to assume that from this point on most of Jow Forums is actually responsibly thrifty and consumes only to a minimum?

Or is that the standards of living within your vicinity veered to your convenience?

Do you regret buying a house?
Do you regret buying your wife?

Do you think your wife cheats on you?

No, just the ones who were confident enough to respond to this thread. But the types who'd go on Jow Forums usually know simple finance rules like don't buy a boat on credit because Richard from the cul de sac has one.

I think it's safe to assume that poor people don't have 80% of their income available to save.

The people in the cul-de-sac near me are probably more named like Juan, Pablo, or Jesus.

Buying a house was the right idea. I think the house I bought was too big. There's lots of empty space and it's obvious that most of the people in our neighborhood have way more money than we do. I regret buying such an expensive house when I could have bought something smaller and cheaper.

The wife is perfect. No regrets there.

I'm 23 and I got €1400,- saved and another €4000,- in crypto. Hoping to hit €20k before 2019.

How many bedrooms?
I keep looking at houses online but don't even know what I'd use the space for.
I might just get some 2 bedroom cuckshed.

I'm starting to live very frugally, I already quit weed and alcohol, going to quit smoking aswell. Cutting down what I spend on food (without risking my health ofcourse) and i'm cancellign any unecessary subscriptions such as Netflix which I don't really watch or enjoy anyway.

40% for the motherland (taxes)
40% investments
20% living

if that doesn't work out for you - earn more.

it's getting to be that way for me too. 2k/month

$50 per week to 401k plus $25 match by employer
$50 per week to long term stocks
$50 per week to crypto
$5 per month to savings

I think that I will be very wealthy in 20 years

>stock bubble crashes
>Crypto bubble crashes
>Saving account interest goes negative

>Assets siezed for privilege checking

Don't work atm but planning to go into IB and save/invest 75-80% of my income for about 10 years
(only need about 10-15k a year to live if i live in the family flat)

Usually at least 50% of what i earn, but now it's 0 because i've lost my only source of income...

Saving 50% in stinkies every month.

I have 83k link, I think I am gonna make it.

what do you do?

>saving $2k per year
yeah, you're gonna make it

almost exactly what i do, but a little more. we will be fine, user.

nothing because i put it in crypto

I'm on disability due to injuries from a workplace accident. I can't lift crates any more, but I'm otherwise fine.

I think a lot of digital nomads are treading the same water I am. Probably more intelligently, but still.

To elaborate, I'm basically playing musical chairs with various southeast asian countries.
I can't buy a refrigerator because it's not economical to abandon a refrigerator in a cheap hotel room every two or three months.
Nor can I rent on anything but a daily rate.
I've started to buy and abandon hotplates, because the savings on food outweigh the loss of the initial investment. I swear to god, the sort of micromanaging I need to do would make me a financial genius if I needed to invest large sums of money.

My investment advice is to buy and eat oatmeal. It's cheap, it's healthy, and you'll shit like a king,

I was asking what you did for a living. I was interested because you said you live in hotels so much. Being on disability is not on an occupation. Or is it?

>30
>$80,000 in 401k
>no debts (thanks bitcoin)
>own a $30,000 car
>own a $500,000 house
>$90,000 in bank
>6% employer matching, all goes to large & small companies, 50/50% split, earing 13% return a year
>15btc left, not split so bch/bgold/all in tact

It's a source of income, which is to say, a living that do I fuck all to get.

It's 3 bedrooms. Where I live (central Florida) it's really hard to find anything less than 3 bedrooms unless you're okay with your neighbors being Jamal, Tavares and De'onte. I kinda wish I just bought some land and had a prefab house dropped on it.

Damn fucking win. 30 and $500K house with no mortgage? I am jelly
